crazz2323
I'm not sure if this is possible in Papyrus to actually have it call a function that affects your files outside of Skyrim, but is it possible to make a script/mod that deletes the contents of the save folder on player death? In my mind it sounds like a simple easy mod to make, (I know nothing about Papyrus) but basically: OnPlayerDeath delete contents of default save folder path: C:\Users\%Username%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves. Anyone whip this up fast? Edited September 6, 2013 by crazz2323
pheo3309
Only problem I can see is multiple characters. But this is very interesting for those Iron-Man challenges! I'd definitely want something like this later on. :D

IvoryKey
You'd have to make sure that you create an option to choose which character to "save it to" each time you save (preferably that it stays the same as the one you loaded from most recently unless you change it), so that dying doesn't delete all your characters (if you have multiple characters, which I do, but I still like permadeath). stebbinsd
Do you really need a mod to do this? All it really does is force you to do something that rightfully SHOULD be the player's choice. Just turn off all autosaves, save only when you're ready to take a break, and delete that save immediately after loading it.

Well, some of us don't have that self control plus Skyrim could CTD at any time especially with mods so just playing till you take a break could mean you lose hours of play because of a crash. crysthala
I think SkyTweak had a feature like this... I could be mistaken, though.

It really would be best if you could save as much as you need but if you die all the saves are wiped. This way if you had an issue or corrupt save etc. you could go back but if you die its all over.
