Germandeathkittiez
If anyone hasn't noticed, this game is built almost entirely on an axis of good. Everything "evil" in this game practically is just stand-in quests and pretty shiny things. The Daedra do have a perk, too, of in between and creative ideas... but that's all with usage of items. More specifically, when you do, parsay "Knights of the Nine" quest, you get an extreme amount of fame and the result of that is that everyone, almost everyone, is of great disposition to you and guards almost all are 100 so they will easily relieve you of crimes. those are just some examples, but in general, people like you more, and in turn, you get more power and gifts of righteousness from the divines. In turn as well, from being loved as such a great knight, you will go to being hated as an infamous curr. It's whichever you choose, but having done good deeds, the worse ones are more easily relieved. Knights of the Nine gives you much more power than the Dark Brotherhood, which just gives spells and weapons. Alas you are still a hated criminal, almost never feared unless you happen to have a demoralize spell and also you have almost no power. Now down to what I am saying: this game has left out entirely an axis of evil to an evil character, leaving evil characters to fend for themselves because their gods (Sithis) are a cowardly force who disappears at the sight of rebellion. I think that people should fear you as an alternative to the praise you get as a "knight of the nine" and all that. With fear comes power. There would be many ways that this would happen, and it will not run on level to determine how much one would fear you, but your deeds done. The extremity of the deed done would be determined by: how high a char's level is compared to you, the price or value of an item, what your clothing represents, etc. First to fear you would be petty warriors like bandits, marauders etc. Some citizens might fear you early on, but would not run away or sometimes even feel intimidated unless they were all alone. Things like stealing and suggestive clothing (necro, DB) would mostly just invoke hatred, lower dispositions, and jealousy (people might try to steal it from you/ fight you for it), but also would add new dialogue options which would allow you to tell stories of where you got them and whether you really represent them, which the npc may or may not believe. Selling stolen goods would also be doable, through intimidating stories. (none of this is based on persuasion. Your chance of succeeding is all based on the amount of experience in infamous deeds you are) Maybe an evil persuasion, the ability to curse, demean, shut up, intimidate, or just be an all around empty soul to be around could work well with this. Also, stronger chars may be impressed by you, but if you're too weak and they see you boasting or wearing something with evil meaning they may just kill you in a quiet place. (same goes for wearing some good things, but only if you encounter someone who is truly evil) Outside of social means, one must kill to be feared. One can kill all beggars, egging up their infamy and bounty to hundreds of thousands, (if that's possible) but will only be feared by beggars and bandits and such. Everyone else will be so utterly disgusted with you that no matter who they are they will spit on you and kill you in plain sight and such a deed would make the doer renowned as the champion of Cyrodiil. (as they would tell you) If you are level 2 and were to kill a character of level 75, you would be gain a great amount of fear for that. Level does not matter much, but if you kill someone below your own illegally you will be more towards being disgusted than feared. In turn, if someone of higher level is to arbitrarily attack you, other higher levels may come to your aid (out of disgust), they would not take much of a liking to you, though. So be careful who you kill, especially when you are low level, if you don't want the toughest and scariest abominations in Cyrodiil coming into your house in the midst of night. Also, talking can boost or ruin your reputation as an evil character. Be careful what you say because it can give you a bad start. As you continue to get stronger you reach a point where whole towns run from you in fear (except the guards) and for a long time many will fear you, even some guards, though those will be the last ones to submit. The laughable thing is the legalities of Cyrodiil will stay stern and it's the same price for anyone killed, though an Imperial officer may alter the bounty (higher or lower out of fear or disgust) Eventually, as your character progresses in level and power (leveling does affect the progression a little bit) people will start to do your bidding, starting with bandits and such from much earlier on, but at this point characters who will do your bidding will start to be closer to your level and importance. Your army is unlimited, though the weak may run in fear. Your visage can carry them back sometimes, though. It is primarily the stronger who will do the best to your whim, though, but they have a higher chance of turning on you. After you have become so feared that legal systems will alter according to you, all that's left is the priests and gods. Priests will have unheard of powers, which they only use against wretched demons like you, it is in a time of utter doom for Cyrodiil, and the only place left to run is the chapel. The priests are the one last wall you must knock down before you can evoke the Divines themselves and communicate with Sithis all while the Daedra sit in their thrones and decide your fate (or maybe they're just weaker, who knows) This is my mod idea, anyone who would like to add some ideas is welcome to. It's just an idea that crossed my mind when I realized one of the many things this game is lacking. It may seem to outweigh the Knights of the Nine a bit, but hey, it's for evil characters after all. Anyone wanting to pursue this mod is purely welcome to I do not know how to mod nor do I currently have any of the resources. (but I can get them and am trying to start learning)
Johny Obliv
Wow this is a great idea! As an evil character, there isn't much more then the Dark Brotherhood and maybe the Thieves Guild, and when you've finished those, there isn't much else to do. There are hardly any evil quests to find around Cyrodiil, so i just stop playing on my killer. With a mod like this, i could become one hell of a villain, and be powerful AND evil, not a holy knight or something. I couldn't make a mod like this, but if someone else could, please do it :thanks:

Johny Obliv
servent of the dawn is a goo done too Yeah, but you have to finish the whole main quest for it. And i don't like that.
TheCalliton
i downloaded a svae game that spast it, and used the console to make himmy character
Germandeathkittiez
Yes, a mythic dawn quest is interesting, though quests would not have the same outcome as this idea which is for a complete overhaul.
Xande
I'd really like to see someone make this mod. It's a really good idea.
SirMagus
Great Idea! I'd like to see more possibilities for the Evil minded characters instead of just for the good ones. I wouldn't say the Thieves Guild is EVIL even though they steal, but they never Kill. So the Black Hand/Dark Brotherhood is the only Evil guild that the player can join and do quests and missions for. Would like to see more evil in the game =D
SirMagus
Oh man, sorry for the double post... The browser froze so I started clicking everywhere, lol
Germandeathkittiez
So I've been thinking this mod through a little bit more, and I've generated a more specific plan: To start, this mod will require some sort of a bar or numbers (not infamy) suggesting your fear or disgust levels. I'm thinking that it could just be like a script effect on the magika bar and you use a spell to check how far it has progressed either way (less magika = disgust, more = fear) I think this would be great because the amount of fear or disgust you can have will be infinite, and magika bars can increase infinitely whilst taking up the same amount of space. The Good: For now all I'm planning to change about this is keep good characters vanilla characters, with exception of those intended to be evil, and with the exception of Hieronymous, who will alter the bounty on your head out of extreme disgust or fear (maybe not him, but something to trigger this and a message that says it was him) Also, every character will have the same fear or disgust in general, and in the moment of an action (kill, looting), except evil characters will have their own way of doing things (instead of justice, terrorism) The Evil: Well, pretty much what I said above. Oh, also... Trying to be goody two shoes will not run well with this mod. Evil npcs will despise you. You're just not that scary :/ good deeds = lower fear. Levels and evil: low lvl kill high lvl = score! high lvl kill beggar = Disgraceful. So good quests will have to trigger a no fear affect from your feats... unless you betray the quest... idk if it will be necessary to go as far as to add that in though. BTW every kill a pc commits, legal or illegal (discluding animals, I think they'll be left out of this mod) will invoke fear or disgust depending on the power of the one you killed. It will not be so necessary to kill low-level bandits when you can have them under your control. Anyway, why not watch them kill each other out of fear? (The control part will probably be a dialogue option) While you will not be hacking away at low-levels, higher level npcs will be challenging and criticizing your every step. (And foolish lower-levels)This will make the gameplay a more of a "pick on someone your own size" sort of combat, while the lesser warriors are left to the subsidiary chaos and insanity left behind by the evil characters. This chaos is what begins anarchy. This will be gone into further later... The mod will have three basic categories, methods of fear: KILL-Most affective-Stealth: the least affective short-term. Who will know it was you? but in the long run, when Hiero finds out the fear levels may even make him take your bounty away completely. -Magic: You have a chance of being more disgusted (no one likes evil mages esp. necro) But your spells have a high ability to manipulate and make armies this way (with use of dialogue and vanilla spells) For inst. if you kill someone with someone charmed nearby, the charmed will act more mundane. The point (downside) is a lot of evil killers as well as good hate mages (and are nihilists) and find your ways of killing disgraceful.-Combat: Not as much army-gathering as with magic, but a lone character destroying everything in his / her path is a respectable, consistent one. That fearful respect will get you many "friends" Of course, you are most prone to be taken out by a cheapshot or someone stronger this way. Bounties: As an evil character you will always have a bounty on your head, but there will be a new bounty created by Hiero personally which sends many assassins and maybe guards after you, though they wont go through the whole "stop criminal scum!" thing, but just try to kill you. This is when you are truly evil and can't go to jail. STEAL-Steal items. If evil npc catches you, they get nothing for calling guards, so they use methods of taking it from you. Manipulating people, including after robbing them, will shut them up. INTIMIDATE-Pose. Wear Necro / DB / religiously questionable robes-Tell stories of how you got them if people believe, FEAROtherwise you might be in a lot of troubleYou can chase hordes of low-level bandits out of caves just by wearing these when you gain a certain amount of power.-Just go up to people and try to scare them, see how scary you are. (weapons = scary) So in short over time and after a certain amount of (strong/ evil) deeds compared to distance in level = increase in fear, the opponents will be demoralized by you, and stronger high-level, or stupider low- level npcs may follow you and challenge, manipulate, or kill you in the dark (quite literally). When you do something extraordinarily terrifying, people up to 10 levels above you could be intimidated by you. In a place like an Ayleid Ruin with bandits, where none of formal civilization can really see you, your fear may rise if they get away (they tell other people) but that’s a feature to be considered later. LIMITED DIALOGUE CHANGES:PICKPOCKET:-NPC GOOD: "Guards! Guards we've got a pickpocket!"-NPC EVIL: "Can I have a piece?"ASSAULT:-NPC GOOD: "Nine Divines! Assault! Assault!"-NPC EVIL: "Well struck!" -or- "Oh come on now, the tragedy is that you're alive, you disgusting pile of bonemeal."FOLLOWED BY DIALOGUE LOOP:PICKPOCKET:-NPC GOOD: "I'm waiting."-PC: "You want to call the guards? I'll kill the guards and make their corpses kill you!" -or--PC: "You should reconsider being so bold. I can kill you before the guards even get here." -or--PC: "Whoever said the guards would come?" -NPC EVIL: "I'm waiting."-PC: "I'll give you half, if you give me your soul." -or- -PC: "You think I didn't do this planning that you would be here?" -or--PC: "Sorry, I would, but the Dark Brotherhood has assigned me to kill you."(to anyone) ASSAULT:-GOOD NPC: "This better be good."-PC: "I am very cold and empty. I can freeze you to death with my glare, if I wish."-PC: "Talking and killing are much the same, would you not agree?"-PC: "You've seen me kill. You know I wanted you to call the guards. Now speak your last words." BAD NPC (Afraid/ Impressed): "Just don't hurt ME, and everything's fine." Any modder's help is appreciated, for I currently have none of the resources for modding (CS don't even work for some reason, will get on that) and may or not be planning to get them as my computer could use a new OS (which would require uninstallation of everything, that's why). Also I have never tried modding but as soon as I get all the tools I'll start to learn. This mod doesn't seem like too much of an impossible overhaul, something for me to try to achieve. (with the help of others) Note that Primarily it will be a dialogue mod, to help give the affect that your character is evil, VOICE ACTORS ARE WANTED. (Heh, maybe I could do some myself) however, that is not so immediate as first I just want to get the basics of the mod going and planning completed. (And get all the tools I need)EDIT: Ignore the word "Limited" for dialogue this is one of the most necessary parts of the mod feel free to add as MANY suggestions as you can.
