Baltis laughed, "AH! I wondered when you would show yourself. It is indeed fortuidous I gave my security specific instructions to leave you be should they encounter you. It seems there is a bidding war. Forend, you seem to be on the short end of the stick now eh? Your haughtiness while in a favorable position has now put you in a very unfavorable position in a situation where you may become....disposable. Now then, newcomer, tell me, can you offer me this infinite supply of minions? Oh and Forend I do believe that although your army may be free to create it is not free for me to employ eh?" Llervu had a strange look in his eye, one of immense pleasure at Forend's predicament and a keenness that betrays one of great experience in the matters of bargaining and coercian.

Not nearly endless. To get that many mercenaries, one would have to rule much of the world. I could very likely bring a select few with very specialized.... talents, to help out. Likely not the number you would want, but they can play any side to any game without getting caught by the opposition.

Forend coughed.

"The only problem with a finite number of mercenaries, threatened into slavery is that they would disobey you and flee the moment you give them any free will"

That is likely so. Unfortunately, it appears that no one is interested in mercenaries at the moment. We appear to be rather focused on slave labor.... I must now take my leave. *Turns on heel walks out of the meeting place* *Once outside the area, finds a place for a pint, and stays there. Waiting to see if his services will be needed by this group ever.*

  • 2 weeks later...
Baltis began to grow tired of Forend, the mercenary "spokesman" didn't have the numbers he desired, he began to contemplate killing Forend then disecting his brain for the information he needed but thought there may be an alternative. "My little friend you perhaps have a point, but I can't just give you absolute power over the minions, you could turn on ME then I'd be forced to destroy the ACE, no....I think that we shall have a little insurance policy, the minions created will be incapable of killing either of us, in fact they will defend us to the last, and in order to perform an action they must have both of our consent. A fair compromise yes? I will be unable to stab you in your back and you mine, also unless you come to my way of thinking, I will be unable to conquer the world." Llervu smiled, this was the perfect compromise, the ACE would be built and he could persuade Forend into helping him conquer Vvardenfell and then Tamriel. "So, what say you?"

"Ah, excellent. Yes I shall meet you in the ancient Dunmer fortress on the isle where our most secure, and ahem...dangerous projects are conducted." Baltis grinned then swept out of the room. Before Mordekai is able to leave he suddenly reappears in Llervu's study. "Ready your mercenaries, I may not have world domination in mind for you but I have other plans, such as an infernal altmer on Isla Kronus. We need not discuss a price now, money is no object, I shall speak with you in three days' time."

Mordekai leaves quickly. He returns to a tavern near the meeting place two days later with a band of thirty mercenaries. All appear to be following him, and him alone, but all seem to have a sort of communicator with which they can contact hundreds of other mercenaries all within a few day's walk. "Here they are. All the local mercenary leaders. At a moment's notice, they can call up their own bands of mercenaries. Awaiting orders."

"Good standby, I'll contact you when I am in need of your services until then relax or fulfill any contracts you wish." Llervu smiled. He could barely contain himself with how well this was going. A small army of mercs ready to end that wretched n'wah Baaris's life and the ACE is under contruction soon the invasion will commence!
