Licentia
:help: Is there a way to get a house in Morrowind other than by using a Mod or by killing it's owner, or by using an empty house? I've played a lot of the game but never have finished all the quests for any Guilds or anything. Thanks. P.S. I like the emoticons at this site!
Dilvish
Once you reach the higher ranks in one of the three great houses you will get a stronghold. It will be built in three phases, starting with a simple house and ending with a small settlement. There is no way to buy a house in the unmodded game. You could take up permanent residence in one of the inns, guild halls, ortemples? When you're a ways into the main quest, you will get the private use of Caius' house but it's pretty basic and you'll quickly have piles of loot stacked everywhere. Let us know what factions your character belongs to and what city you want to stay in. I'm sure you will get some good suggestions from other forum members. Adras
ALso if you get one of the few (2 as far as I know) bank mods out there, you can buy some houses in a few of the larger towns. AS far as I know you can only buy a house in Balmora and Sadrith Mora, but I knw there are others. Just dont know them =o)

NinjaSalad
Casius' house in balmora is basicly your house, you have to share it with him but he eventually leaves, but the name on the door is still his name.

Abramul
Are there any buildings with UN-OWNED containers? I know the crates in many towns don't have owners (console TFH), but anywhere inside, if you try storing stuff, it gains an ownership. The wierdest one I've seen is the Census and Excise office...everything there is owned by "a shady smuggler". I do know that the sacks and barrels on the landing of the Balmora Mages Guild are 'owned' by anyone of Associate rank or higher, but I don't think that's the sort of thing you're looking for. Probably, the best solution is to get a Stronghold. (Whether you build your own, or simply take over one of the infested ones doesn't matter.)
