So what console cheats do you use?

For me, I usually set sneak to 75, and lockpicking to 35, then get a skeleton key (75 total security then). all are minor skills. Reason for sneak is.. well.. Who wants to run into a wall for hours? specially with Fcom. and lockpick.. Not like the skill matters much, since you can open a very hard lock even at base skill if your good. Just saves me time having to get lockpicks and such, and you get the skeleton key at lv 10 from a quest anyway by then you could easly have 35 Security.

I cheat when testing mods. Usualy tgm and tcl, although additem is sometimes used.

I don't really cheat, but I use alot of console commands, like TGM, TAI, TCL, and TM when taking screenshots and testing mods.

i use the console when i test my mods and when i plan to have some fun. PSB and Midas magic is the best (of course i use tgm too :P)

I sometimes use cheats when I'm testing a mod to give myself some gold to buy a set of armour or whatever if I'm just out of the sewers. It's not much different to having them added to your inventory at start up IMO.

 

I sometimes use TGM when I'm testing my creature companions. I want to see what it can do without me dying in the mean time and my test characters are usually level one.

 

I agree outright cheating is pointless. I have this discussion with a friend who uses every cheat he can think of to max all skills, makes his weapons one hit killers in the CS etc etc. So he's unbeatable before even leaving the tutorial. I couldn't think of anything more boring.

 

I used to nag him about it, but I realized if that's what he wants to do it's none of my business. It's just so frustrating though.....no challenge at all.

 

But, I bought the game on the day it was released and have done all (vanilla) quests multiple times and I don't consider using a mod like No Psychic Guards or No Training Limits and a few others too damaging to my psyche. :wacko:

 

Besides, anyone can do whatever they like. It's their game and if they feel happy using a few cheats, so be it. It doesn't affect me in the least. :biggrin:

I think cheats destroys a game... I got tired of Mount&Blade using cheats.

I also got tired of Oblivion when using it...

I only use it too get Lockpicks. I hate buying them!

I only ever use advskill to get lockpicking up, I dislike the skill but its one thats incredibly useful. I occasionaly use the add money command when I download a mod and I want to try out the equipment quickly, but thats about it.
