Tangyboxhead
Okay so i'm making this mod, I am putting NPC's but when I want to put African American race, the Head changes, but the body does not. How do I fix this (PS. the Fallout Default.ini file wont let me save the changes, so putting bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 into it wont work for me.) Racist GECK -_-
Deleted2547005User
That's your only option. You'll need to right click the .ini file and select properties, then untick the read-only box and apply. Then you'll be able to edit the .ini file. Tangyboxhead
It won't let me. All it says is access denied.
pkleiss
Mismatched Face/Body:The mismatched face/body bug can be fixed by one of these two solutions:1) On the NPC data page, select the 'Can be all Races" flag.2) Turn your mod into an ESM via a tool such as FO3Plugin or FO3Edit. Tangyboxhead
okay, Let me try that. Thanks
Tangyboxhead
Didn't work so well. But iff I do make it a master file, what are the cons of doing that?
pkleiss
The only drawback to a master file is that you must turn it back into a plugin to edit/make changes to it. Fundamentally, there is no difference between the two types of files save for the 'master' flag set in an ESM. You can't edit an ESM, but ESMs have less bugs, like the mismatched face/body and the infamous navmesh bug. Generally, a modder keeps his mod an ESP while creating it then turns it into an ESM for release. Some mods are so basic that changing it to an ESM is pointless. But any mod that introduces new NPCs or new levels should run as an ESM to avoid several known issues with ESPs.
Degby1
Have to agree pkleiss on this. I had the EXACT same issue while trying to create some black characters who had white bodies. Saved as an ESM and corrected this!
