I've had to make a decision, I wanted to be able to have the helmet detachable from the armour but its looking like I'm going to have to make it so the armor is combined with the helmet. You will still be able to wear the helmet on its own though. this is because of a miss calculation some where in the process which has caused the shoulders to be lower then I planned. This shouldnt have happened because it was modeled around another uniform but some how its happened and fixing it would require a complete re-rig of the whole model. This could mean that the initial version of the mod wont have this feature but a later version will allow different helmets. I'm really sorry if people where hoping to have other helmets with this and I'm just as annoyed with this as you may be :C.

some happy news now? I got some gloves on it c:

So that's why the armour looks so weird to me in comparison to the actual armour from the film...

I may have saved the quality of this mod : D, remember when I was having problems with flipped normals occuring during the stripifation? well I was still having problems with it, each time I had to go back into 3ds max to make a modification I would have different normals flipping each time. This meant that predicting which ones were going to flip was pretty difficult.

So I did a despiration test to find out a solution, I tested the model with out stripifying it and it worked, no flipped normals at all. I thought the model HAD to be stripified to work but it looks like its happy with shape data too. If any one has any reasons why I shouldnt use shape data let me know, because this way I get a much better result with no random faces flipping.

other then that, the mods pretty much ready for release : D. will post it after I've tested on another machine, which will be tomorrow for me because its 2:16am lol

Not sure about it in Fallout 3 (haven't checked) but in Oblivion most rigged things where shapes and not strips, the reason they stripify things is because strip shapes are slightly more efficient.

I like the Pip boy image but I think the starburst takes away from the actual armor picture.
