Novem99 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 You mean your performance was worse when set to true?
David1521 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I have 3 gigs of vram, gtx 780 classified, I was wondering how to set up my memory stuff in my enblocal.ini to get the best performance out of my gpu? Here are my current settings. ExpandSystemMemoryX64=trueReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=1024EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseVideoMemorySizeMb=0EnableCompression=trueAutodetectVideoMemorySize=true
Novem99 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) That's just what I would recommend after studying several comments/threads about this subject:ReservedMemorySizeMb=The higher this parameter is set the better will be the performance in heavy areas but also the chance of CTDs is higher. I would set it to 768. If you get CTDs set it to 512. VideoMemorySizeMb=At least 3072 (that's the total VRAM amount in MB of your GPU). If you have at least 8GB RAM and an 64bit operating system you can set it higher according to this formula:VideoMemorySizeMb=VRAM+RAM-2048 (maxes out at 10240) AutodetectVideoMemorySize=MUST be set to false if you have set "VideoMemorySizeM" to an actual value instead of 0. David1521 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 what does disable driver memory do? I've googled it and the "results" don't provide any answers really.
Novem99 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Quote Reduce chance of CTD or low performance due to bad video drivers, however with good drivers leaving as "false" can be optimal. When "true", bad drivers can cause lower performance or pauses where they would normally just CTD if "false". Reported to help AMD users. If experiencing CTD even while above setting is set "true", try setting this to "true". If having lag or long pauses, try "false".
Dracoking32 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 hello I was just wondering I have 32gb of ram and GTX 750 ti and I was wondering if my settings are correct as I want to assign 8GB ram to my gamehere are my current settings:[MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=trueReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=512VideoMemorySizeMb=8192EnableCompression=falseAutodetectVideoMemorySize=false
