Madcap_Magician
Hi everyone. Morrowind is my first REAL RPG *CoughcoughDiablocoughcough* and I heart it muchly... But I just thought I'd introduce myself and give the real reason I'm here. I tried installing plugins, I'm using Zip Genius, and downloaded the J-Ninja clothing mod, the Weapons of Tamriel 1.2 mod, Addamasartus Cave quest mod, and a couple others. I extracted them to the Morrowind Data Files correctly, but when I start the game, I only have one mod (Addamasartus Cave) to select! :help: plz! Thanks, Teh Madcap
tyjet3
Hey! welcome to the forums. Just remember to follow the rules that have been layed down, respect the Moderators and don't spam!! Anyway, about you problem. ok, here are some ideas of what the problem is... -you have put the files in the wrong place, i know you checked it but check again-the files might not have come with an activation file (looks like a swiss army knife). This could very possible be the problem... You might have downloaded stuff that is to be used with the construction set. Some mods are designed this way. If you continue to have problems past both these tests, make a post in the Mod forum. Tyjet
Malchik
Happy day! Have fun, chill and don't post in a thread you haven't read all the way through unless it is WAY too long. (It'll save you from suggesting use of a console to someone who stated they were playing on xbox!) But we were all newbies once and to err is human. tyjet3 is right - it's easy to think you have downloaded the mod correctly but the files are not in fact properly allocated. A lot of members recommend downloading mods to a temp file and then moving the various 'icons', 'meshes' etc across to be sure they are in the right place. Fishing out the activation files will only be enough if there were no other folders attached. If you find a subdirectory 'data files' within the directory 'data files' (or equally folders called 'Bethesda softworks', or 'Morrowind') that will be where the downloads have gone. You will need to move icons to icons, textures to textures etc! You'll know if you do it wrongly because of constant error messages, a sudden proliferation of large yellow triangles and an even more alarming number of CTDs than usual! Malchik
Mybee I shall get that phrase Copyright, and then you have to pay me money Malchik :bleh: That's a quote from G_m, for some reason it doesn't show it as such. If you use the search facility I think you will find the phrase has been used several times before you joined the forum, and not only by me. Soooo...... :D
