ADragonCalledGeorge
I had an epic idea for a mod involving Dwemer stuff. To use the Dwemer as an excuse for the existence of planes and tanks in Skyrim. Ever wanted to take the fight to the Dragons and bomb them out of their own sky? Ever wanted to ride through town James Bond style, destroying everything in your path? These are just a few possibilities if we had planes and tanks. The planes could use the stuff that makes airship mods work and the tanks can even be a simple horse retexture that shoots fireballs. The plane can shoot either fireballs too to resemble a bomb. You can also have it drop stuff that explodes on impact similar to Dwemer bomb mods. The planes and tanks would of course use Dwemer textures and meshes for realism and immersion. In order to get them, you can find them at the end of a long Dwemer dungeon guarded by High Elves. The quest begins as soon as you start the mod stating that you hear rumor of a mysterious elven activity in a Dwemer Dungeon. For the greater good of Skyrim you should investigate to make sure the Thalmor are not doing things the shouldn't. You then go to the dungeon and find it guarded by Thalmor who become hostile to you on contact. You kill them and find Mission Orders on the Dungeon Guardian. The orders state that the Thalmor are to explore the dungeon and find the Dwemer weapons of mass destruction within and use them to conquer Skyrim. The quest updates directing you to the Dwemer weapons leading you through various mazes, living quarters, and riddles/puzzles all guarded/populated by Dwemer. Eventually you get to the end of the dungeon and find an ancient Dwemer forge. All around the chamber are carvings of the Dwemer (optional of course) engaged in battle by flying in war planes and tanks that the Thalmor dub Dwemer Dragons and armored flaming horses. The journal with this information then states that you must obtain a Dwemer Lexicon (called something mysterious) to activate the forge as well as certain new Ore and Ingots. This leads you to secret crypts in the dungeon or another dungeon all-together. At the end of this dungeon lies the mission commander and a swarm of elves. Eventually, you kill the Thalmor and the commander. However, the Commander quickly regenerates his health and a cut scene ensues in which he tells you that he can't allow the information of their mission to get to the wrong ears. So he grabs it from you and knocks you out. The scene fades to black and you awake in the crypt chamber. Proof of the mission is gone and no one would believe your wild tales of metal dragons and fire-breathing armored horses made by the Dwemer of old coupled with a conspiracy to conquer Skyrim. Reluctantly, you decide to keep it a secret but earn a reward in the ability to activate the Dwemer forge and craft these Dwemer vehicles yourself. You can now fly around Skyrim terrorizing those poor old dragons with some fire-power and flight of your own as well as mow down anyone in your path with an armored, destructive tank. The quest completes when you activate the lexicon with the above and you get to enjoy your reward. Of course if you want to skip the whole quest I don't mind but it would make it lore-friendly and realistic rather than just having a tank and plane in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason. With some work and proper voice acting this could be a cool mod. I don't mind contributing my own voice for the Thalmor Commander although I have an American accent (despite being English) which might not suite the denizens of Skyrim. However, I have friends who are willing to do voice-acting for me though they are off to uni and might not be able too. But alas, these are just ideas and I need someone to pull them off for me since I cannot make mods to save my life. I can't understand the Creation Kit and would love it if someone could make this mod a reality even without the quest. To make it perfect, the planes and tanks would have the option to switch from third-person to first-person with a zoom in feature (binoculars?) similar to the one with the Eagle Eye archery perk. You could also press the clutch (or whatever you'd call it) to go faster but you'd need more Dwemer oil (already exists in the vanilla game) to make it run faster and make it run at all, for gas. So, any thoughts on this crazy idea? Would it be possible to make this a reality? Many thanks in advance!
