BlackSlayer
The basic problem is that I make a particle system in 3ds MAX 6, and then export as a .3ds file. I then use Milkshape to export it as a .NIF. The thing is that the particle system doesn't show in the game when I try it. So the question is how do I get my particle systems to show up in the game? Another problem is glow. How can I make my objects glow in the game? Do I need a script that will give them light? Do I need to place lights in the mesh while I create it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Peregrine
I'd guess it's a problem with the .nif export. Since you're using an unofficial plugin, I wouldn't be surprised if their support for particle effects (and anything else beyond simple models/textures) was flawed at best. BlackSlayer
Thanks for your help. I think I can export particles, the problem is that I do not know how to give them a certain shape. For example, I can create a very dense section of moving particles, and in the game, all I see are some random parts of movement here and there. I just do not know how to make a particle a mesh, that way, they might be counted as geometry.
Geonox
Ask lady E, she knows how to make particles. Btw, the reason why it doesn't show up in the game is because milkshape doesn't support particle systems. ^_^
