Download Issues

Currently living in Vietnam. A few days ago all downloads were fine, but now I seem to be having trouble with large downloads.

 

Anything around 10mb downloads rapidly, as expected.

 

Anything over about 30mb fails to connect at all, or goes at about 1kb/s until it eventually fails.

 

I do not have a premium account.

 

I have also noticed something interesting:

 

If I attempt to download via a VPN routed to the UK, the connections also fail. However, if I go to the download manager in my browser and click on 'retry download', with a VPN the failed downloads will then work. So for now, my workaround will be to let the download fail using my 'local' Vietnam internet, then grab the file via the 'retry download' option in my browser while VPN is connected.

Based on your report I would imagine there's an ISP or routing fault. All of the US/EU servers are in different parts of the world, often on different infrastructure. The Premium CDN works fine because that's a separate CDN service again.

Yeah, since it works with VPN I suspect it's not a Nexus issue.

 

Vietnam has a habit of randomly cutting internet connections to stuff...
