wolfpack91
ok i just put a solid state drive in my new Desktop and while it would run it before now it wont even get out the menu withoiut crashing, even with no mods or DLC packs. any one have this issue before.. any additional info you might need: CPU AMD FX8350 8 coreRAM 16 GBGPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 4GB my computert should be able to steam roll skyrim on ultra with no lag but all i get is crashes every where and all my drivers are up to date, i checked them all before i posted this. any help would be nice thanks *edit- just a thought because i know i had this problem with fallout 3. am i going to have to limit the cores it can run onto 4 or will skyrim run fine on 8? i am watching my CPU load on one of the secondary monitors and its triggering on up to 7 cores. Ulfric1
Did you transfer your games to your new hard drive? And how did you transfer them?
vlaka
no need to limit core usage, more like trying to tweak things to get Skyrim to utilise all cores :P Also what Ulfric said, did you reinstall clean or copy it from an old HD?
wolfpack91
possibly a botched install. the rear fan quit working halfway through download and triggered the MOBO's auto shutdown but its possible that caused it to get f-ed up. ill try a fresh install.
