Omniguous
it isnt an ISP causing this. i dont have the money for a VPN. i dont want a VPN. i already provided a link that shows my ISP doesnt do these things you keep using as an excuse. ive already told you other users in various places - physically and politically - have said your speeds have dropped. there is something wrong on your end. Omniguous
looked up free VPNs. they all have data limits or speed limits or other issues. theres no reason to believe an ISP is doing this. literally every other service ive used on this computer with this setup has achieved the expected speeds. why would only Nexusmods have an issue? Pickysaurus
It might not be an ISP fault directly, but they do sometimes see them using cheaper routes for traffic which are more congested. Either that or something, somewhere between your PC and our servers has degraded. If this were a problem on our end we'd be seeing lots of similar reports from Canadian users. I'm sorry you're having the issue but I believe the actual fault is beyond our control to fix.
Omniguous
apologies. but please try to understand the viewport i had. ive moved to a new location (physically) in the last... 24 hours.i tried the same download again. it only took 3 minutes. why at the old place steam and other services were pumping out 40 MiB per second but refusing nexus? no idea. the ISP here is the one i had 2 places ago (which was showing download speeds equal to steam et al.)the speeds reported in MO2 while downloading are the same as the previous place (the one that took forever)... [but the actual speed was lower since it took longer].i can only presume there was some IT black magick going on. possibly related to the dwelling having a work-from-home programmer (maybe his work put something for traffic? no idea.)again: i apologise. it wasnt making sense (in my head). maybe the transfer method/protocol was incompatible with the environment? idk. computers: how do they work?
