BigBizkit
How does one manually change the load order of the mods that are installed? I've been trying to work with Vortex now that the NMM is completely dead, and so far I find it extremely unintuitive. Sure, most people like working with it, kudos to them and all of that. But to me it just looks messy and complicated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi there, While it is possible to disable auto sort, and sort plugins manually, there is no drag and drop feature the way you're probably expecting seeing how you're coming from NMM. However, and this is crucial, the real question is why do you want to sort your plugins manually in the first place? Often the answer we get from users is because that's what they've always done - but the reality is, with Vortex/LOOT you don't have to do that. Vortex uses a masterlist called LOOT that has all the information about plugins (crowd-sourced through community contributions) and will find a working load order much more reliably than any one individual user would or could. From my own experience modding and testing mods as part of my role at Nexus Mods I can tell you that the amount of manual plugin rules I had to add to make a load order work was minimal. For the vast, vast majority of use cases, the autosorting will produce a stable load order. You can read more about why we moved away from enabling drag and drop manual plugin load order sorting here: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/vortex-approach-to-load-order
