Hoamaii
Hi guys and girls, I've been trying to tweak some boring Vanilla followers dialogues by replacing some .fuz file by others extracted from the Skyrim Voice.bsa but they do not load in game - the NPC reacts ok, anim loads and inventory opens for instance, but the dialogue does not play. Here's what I did: - Isolated the .fuz file I wanted to replace.- renamed my new file with the same ID as the replaced file.- put it in "data\sound\voice\skyrim.esm\femalenord I believe the folder structure is right, but the file still won't play. Can't we replace voices in Skyrim the way we replace Fx, other sounds or textures, or am I doing something wrong? Can somebody who knows better than I do about audio files give me some hints, please? Many thanks in advance! Hoamaii
cinderry
I have the same(ish) problem. I tried it this way ... I used unfuzzer from Nexus to unfuz the file, which produced a wav file - I changed the wav file, and refuzzed to the originak fuz file, which was supposed to just change the sound file inside the original fuz. I put the new fuz in the same place as you (same as I do for textures, etc) but no luck ... the NPC still spoke the same old diaogue. I also tried putting a copy of the whole malecoward folder with the file renamed, but it did not work either. Just thrashing about in the dark, cannot find any sensible tutorials on how to change fuz files :-(
PrettiestUnicorn
Trying to change a .fuz file with the Slow Time shout. Put a different WAV with the same audio length and bitrate, and converted into the .fuz file with the same name as the original. It just wouldn't play in the game. I don't know how to fix it. agerweb
Try not using a fuz file; just put the wav and lip file in the correct directory. You will probably need to go into the dialogue and regen the lip file anyway.
