MrPudding
I'm considering creating a stealthy character that uses blunt weapons. I'm just wanting to make sure if there are any kinds of hidden disadvantages to doing this that I may not be aware of. Also, is it possible to sneak and do sneak attacks with two handed weapons without a sneak penalty? Appreciate any help in answering these questions. dezdimona
sneak works well with all weapon types, and two handers suffer no penalty
iavor55
Even if it does my advice is to simply un-equipt the weapon and equipt and use it when your ready for a stealh, devastating blow, but you will have to be sure that the enemy wont turn around while your trying to hit it since some blunt weapons have a longer hit time then most other blade weapons like daggers or one handed swords. Halororor
As everybody said, there shouldn't be any penalty, though I prefer using a bow or dagger when sneaking. It just feels more authentic and realistic.
lunarisnebula
sneaking with 2 handed blunt ? if i remember well you get no dmg multiplication with two handet weps no matter if blunt or blade so that two handet weps do alwasy 1 x dmg O.o
Germandeathkittiez
sneak works well with all weapon types, and two handers suffer no penalty Am I reading this right? Every time I use like a claymore it gives me "Sneak attack for 1x Damage!" as opposed to 6x damage.
SpacemanSpIiff
Theres no penalty for any weapon types, its just that some types dont get the multiplying bonus.
Unavi
1x 2handed damage is not a penality..it's just normal damage (just for making it clear) anyway i just find silly backstabbing a minotaur with a mace hehe :)
Halororor
I guess if you're strong enough you can backstab anything with just about anything...
