DS4Windows for Fallout 4

All perfectly understandable.

I don't believe Fallout 4 ever offered you that option. Steam (or now Gamepass) was a requirement.

At any rate, since DS4Windows allows you to map any button to emulate any key on the keyboard and is completely separate from Fallout 4, I can't imagine why you are having problems in the first place.

The problem fixed itself, I think it was just an initial set-up/connection problem.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted out, ComputerGuy

And yeah glad to chime in, even if it's only a partial lead, or can try to help somebody get pointed in the right direction.

One thing that I will also add in, is that playing this game with a controller kinda sucks in one particular aspect. AIMING. Most controllers, especially the lesser expensive aftermarket ones, have a really high sensitivity on the stick. (I've always played this game on controller, I dunno even know HOW to play it on kybrd.)

Since a lot of controllers in the sub $100 dollar range (aint paying that, for something that could break) Don't have software adjustments that you can make to tame down that sensitivity, that leaves us with mechanical adjustments.

I just got a set of these, and they REALLY help to slow down how fast the aiming cursor flies across the screen. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T91Q73K/?coliid=I3G5QPY1FGLAES&colid=1UKDZG2C08WGI&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1 I got the green (light) ones and they work pretty good. Tho I think I may also invest in a set of the black (medium) ones too.

Another thing that can REALLY help out with aiming control on a controller is to go long stick, with wide head. (No, I'm not trying to be insinuative, LOL). By adding length to the stick, it creates less travel err... not LESS travel, but decreases how far it travels, vs travel by ur thumb. And by widening the area where your thumb is, increases control. For those of us who don't have controllers that offer differing stick length, there are KontrolFreek mods for that too. Differing attachments for differing types of controllers and playstyles. https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/67AF39F6-9045-43D4-887B-A98D647AA984?ingress=2&visitId=7df8b584-fd45-4dbf-b6f3-78264e49a3b1&ref_=ast_bln
