Integrater
Hi, all of a sudden Boss no longer sorts my mods in WB. I get the summary as though everything went fine but nothing changed in my load order. Any ideas? Thanks
vlaka
what about NMM?
Integrater
I don't use NMM. I have about 250 mods and I need to see the details that WB gives me when managing so many mods.
vlaka
hmm. Tried running BOSS as admin?
Lord Garon
Does WB still see BOSS on the bottom toolbar? In WB, right click on the BOSS toolbar icon and make sure "Disable BOSS lock load order" is ticked. Integrater
Yeah it does still appear at the bottom, that's how I run it. Disable Boss lock load order is ticked. It was working fine then all of a sudden just stopped working.
myztikrice
Are you sorting by File Name on accident instead of Load Order?
Integrater
It is sorted by load order. I uninstalled boss and reinstalled it and i have the same problem. Also, I ran the boss gui exe and it says skyrim is not detected. Guess I found the problem. Any ideas on what I can do?

Start BOSSGUI: Select "Active Game" menu and make sure it is Autodetect or Skyrim. Select Edit menu, then Settings, then Debugging. Set Output Verbosity to 3 and check the Log Debug Output box. This will put a debug file in the BOSS directory. Click the OK button and on the main BOSSGUI window check the Perform Trial Run box under Run Options. Run BOSSGUI again and look at the BOSSdebuglog.txt file in the main BOSS directory. Sounds like a Skyrim registry entry is missing/bad or a file security/permissions issue. I change all the programs I trust to RunAsAdministrator under the file Properties dialog. Make sure that your loadorder.txt files, etc, are not read only. Hive Key locations vary with OS so its hard to say which key might be bad (In my Win7 64bit system, Skyrim install location is at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\bethesda softworks\skyrim.) The BOSS debug log will/may give you an idea where BOSS is trying to find Skyrim. You can use regedit (CAREFUL! Back up your registry BEFORE making ANY key changes!!!) to search for key "Skyrim" and see if any key data gives an erroneous location. You should also make sure that the game cache is verified via Steam, THEN run Skyrim from the launcher itself (not SKSE, if you have it) to update registry entries. After those last two steps, try BOSSGUI again. EDIT: Don't forget to un-check Trial Run on the main BOSSGUI window when done.EDIT: Additional info (verify local game cache from Steam has been known to remove Skyrim registry keys) Edited September 24, 2013 by Lord Garon
