Packing a finished Mod

I was thinking more along the lines of something which identified all the files refferred to in an esp and rooted them out from all the other items and stuff which have built up in my data files but are not used by the mod.

If you see what I mean.

  • Download the Tree package for Windows.
  • Download an application that will allow you to find strings that are shared between two files.
  • Using Tree, create a recursive directory listing starting at your Data Files folder.
  • Compare the Tree output with your ESP. All shared strings that include a "." and/or a backslash are files that need to be packaged.

Hi Its me again.

All that stuff was just doing my head in so I backed up my Data files and deleted everything I thought didn`t belong to my mod. I then loaded it back up in TESCS and replaced the few files it told me were missing.

Isn`t there a genius out there who could make a prog to analyse esps and collect their necessary files.

Food for thought ?
