sneeuleeu Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 My magic skills are all leveling to quick. Im using supreme magicka along with ooo and mmm. SM is loaded after both of them. Im playing as a sort of battle mage and currently my Alteration is at about 47, Conjuration 40, resto 37. My combat skills are heavy armour which is about 29, blade 27 and block 25. Im using the latest builds of mmm and ooo (the beta ones, i was gonna go fcom but decided that was enough but still used the beta versions of those 2). Im only about 7 hours in but am already level 4. Surely this is too quick for ooo. Im using the reocmmend ooo leveling rates not the vanila ones, Im confused as to why my magic is going up so fast.... could it be because im using beta versions of the other 2 mods.... Im trying to use my combat skills as much a possible but doesnt seem to help. Should i load sm before ooo, will that work? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's hoping someone found a solution to that. A bit slow reply (outdated post) but since it was the highest on the search on google I thought I'd put my reply. The reason it's leveling to fast is because Supreme Magicka have changed so that you level based on how much magicka the spells costs. I personally knew this wast he case since I went through the config files properly before starting it up, but figured it was going faster then I had hoped for. Thus was searching around to see if anyone figured a way to balance things out without having to take it away. Either way. Go to your Oblivion/Data folder, inside is a SupremeMagicka.ini file. and search for "Set MagickaSkillProgression to 1". Change the 1 to a 0 and it returns to normal. You might want to try find a mod that slows down your magic progress for a while to catch up the other skills.
