Glanzer
With so many modders for Skyrim and Fallout, and with over 100,000 mods and over 2 BILLION downloads, you'd think that someone would organize a modding conference. There would be enough interest for a 3 or 4 day conference, even if participants had to pay $400 or a lot more. I bet a lot of very experienced modders would line up for the chance to give presentations on interesting topics, like: xEdit: Tips and TricksSKSE Modding for BeginnersBest Practices for Papyrus ScriptingUpgrading, Cleaning, and ESLifying Plugins - Do's and Don'tsNifskope BasicsSynthesis: Creating Your First Patcher (Lab) - bring your laptops!Panel: Mod Organizer 2 vs Vortex, Pros and Cons in a Friendly DebateLOOT Howto: Sorting and User Defined RulesA Guide to Bash and Bash TaggingNemesis Fundamentals - Making the SwitchDynDOLOD: Making Sense of It All
Pickysaurus
We are actually hoping to do a meet up of sorts at some point. Those topics you mentioned are all very Bethesda-centric but some of them would be cool.
Gorgopis
We like this idea, but maybe "even bigger"? Pretty much all Universities today offer courses in video-gaming, including logic-treeing, narration, character design, graphics, etc. etc. since video-gaming, and gamifying education, are now recognized as profitable professional careers, that bring back investments to unis. If some ones in the Nexus Custodial Community had University ties, those some ones might be able to negotiate to host such a conference within the bounds of an established Uni., and attract the globe's academic types while offering break-out workshops. We did a quick websearch and found some universities actually have courses dedicated to just "analyzing" Skyrim!
Wolfstorm
The lack of tutorials is much, much worse. The tutorials offered by Bethesda are very basic and don't cover advanced topics. Then you have to dig in the topics and it is really hard to find anything helpful. Also many topics in the forums are repeated, because people can't find the information in a single place. Would be better to have a compendium.
Moksha8088
Panel: Mod Organizer 2 vs Vortex, Pros and Cons in a Friendly Debate Fan Boy vs Fan Boy. As long as there is security in the room and nobody yells "Legacy" to set them into a frenzy, I suppose it would be safe.
Gorgopis
We found a couple of Uni courses on search: "Racism in Skyrim," and "Notions of Medieval Lifestyles in RPG Videogames," with Skyrim mentioned in the course-references, or some such course-titles.
