NPC running away

I have placed four NPCs. None of them has any weapons. They are all set to Follhardy and Frenzied and are all enemies. But when I enter the area they start running away from each other and me. Even the Behemoth. Why is this. Shouldnt Follhardy and Frenzied make them care zero about safety and odds?

this seems to happen to me too whenever i drop in an NPC enemy for testing, they usually take one swing at me then run in the other direction, hit and wall and then just keep running on the spot trying to get past the wall... :confused:

ive never tried messing with the ai stuff though
