Chemist18
I've tried several plugins from nexus, most are awesome. One I like in particular is the desert eagle. However, in my game it is a random solid color (usually purple) indoors, outdoors it flashs a very bright white. Yesterday I started experimenting with make a new set of combat armor. All I did was copy, rename, and reassign the textures. In the GECK my armor appears solid bright red, in game the texture flashes off and on indoors, outdoors it is the best camoflage you'd ever want, it appears to adopt a version of the terrain texture I'm running over. Any help would be great, thanks.

Chemist18
In the case of the mods I've downloaded I am using the archive invalidation txt file. In the case of the copies I made yesterday I haven't since they aren't in the BSA, I can easily add them tho. Would the archive invalidation txt file affect the GECK? Chemist18
Sorry, the Homer Simpson quote was because I didn't answer your question. I had already made those changes with no effect unfortunately :( Some of the items I've downloaded the textures look great, other items they act weird. I know the textures should be fine because I can see screenshot of them on the web :) I'm in over my head mainly and trying to get to the surface. If unsure, tell me where are those files exactly. To be of any help i sort of need an answer to those 3. 1) - No problem with the Desert Eagle any more, I simply needed to follow the instructions2) - I've set bInvalidateOldFiles = 1 in both the fallout3.ini and the falloutprefs.ini3) - Do files that aren't in the BSAs need to be listed in the invalidation txt file?4) - Believe it or not my armor textures were in the correct place, however I included the \m and \f in the path to them, once I removed those textures are fine :)
TGBlank
Again, archiveinvalidation invalidated is a MOD. Download it, install it, and you should never have to touch the archiveinvalidation.txt file ever again.
