HollownessDevoured
So some mods seem to have it worse than others Kirkwall Exports, Viva la Orlais and Ferelden pack but from a distance and not that far even, they start to distort. But the worse is 1 model from Kirkwall Exports the robes (Bethany's circle robes but the unisex version) it is a white blob from a distance—even if I can sort that out or if someone knows a version that doesn't blob out. Is it my system (it is over 2 years since last overhauling), is there anything I can do or...? Any thoughts?
theskymoves
The distortion is caused by a lack of LOD (Level of Detail) files. LOD2/LOD3 files would be generated at the time of model creation. Most modders don't bother with them when porting/creating meshes. Sorry for the link to the LOD texture explantion; the wiki doesn't seem to have an equivalent entry for the associated mesh/model aspect of LOD files... it's the same principle, though: a smaller, less detailed 'light weight' file for distance viewing when a lot of information about the item isn't required. HollownessDevoured
So there is nothing I can do, and everyone see's Kirkwall Exports white blob mage robe the same? No one else made a higher detail of that particular robe? And hopefully I am not out of my daily/weekly questions XD I have been trying to figure out how to port these models from DA2 to DAO but I can't seem to find a tutorial, any suggestions? edit: I shoudl clarify I do know how to export with a GGF editor but from there...
