How to go about adding workshop 'categories'

For my latest mod, which adds new building 'blocks' for vault building, sooner or later I'm gonna have to create sub-categories, to keep the lists (like Atrium) from become miles long.

But I currently have no clue about what would be the best wya to go about that.

These are my very first workshop items, after all.

I know there are compatibility issues and memory constraints (max. number of keywords / categories / limited formlist) to keep in mind. Some keyword mod floats around to help with that(?)

So if I want to create my own sub-categories, how should I do it?

Can I add them to the 'Vault' menu? or would that be a bad idea? (Why?)

All info on this would be most welcome, as I want my mod to be as compatible with others as it can be, doing stuff 'the right way'.

Hello. You can add your mod and new pieces to the decoration category. There are no many mods for this category and many of them are not anymore here. if you have time and ideas, you can also create new things to give a better life to vault settlers. I have always wondered, because while we use so many objects in our daily lives, why they are missing from the environment of this game. That's all. Thanks.

Decoration?

These are all building pieces. Floors, walls, railings, stairs etc. Not "decoration".

I would prefer to put them within the Vault menu tree, or my own.

Something similar to:

RVP (or under buildings\Vault)

- Atrium

- Ceilings

- Doors

- Floors

- - Tiles

- - Utility

- - Hall

- - Concrete

- Railings

- - Domestic

- - Utility

- Rooms

- Walls

The mod, AWARHERO Japanese Decor, have walls and other stuff and use the category, decorations. Also the mod, Vstylish Decor, have beds, chairs, tables and other stuff and and this mod, also use the category Decoration. The mod Creative Gardens, have walls and other stuff and also use the category Decoration.

Got it working with scripts and uninstall chem. Although I got it to work with SMM, I chose to keep my mod dependencies at 0.

Looks much better with my own menu. Just need to duplicate some recipes from DLC06 so users don't have to switch back and forth between the vault and my RVP menu tree :)
