Akatosh2903
I made a Mirelurk King into a vendor, with limited dialogue. It all works fine, except when I go to buy something from him, his inventory is empty.I copied the Gun Runner HQ's vendor container and gave it a new ID, moved it into my vendor's room, made it persistent, disabled it as a quest object, then set it to be his container. The inventory consists entirely of leveled lists, I think. When I tried to open it the game crashed, but not when I went to buy something from him. He seems to be able to access the caps, since he has plenty for selling purposes, but that's it. Any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it?It'll probably turn out creatures just can't work like that and I'll be heartbroken. Thanks in advance. bjornl
Creatures can be used like that, for example Vendortron is a creature not a human. Did you follow these examples? http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Creating_a_new_vendorhttp://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Talk:Creating_a_new_vendorhttp://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Adding_items_to_vendors
MartinPurvis
I seem to remember having to click the Autocalc box on the AI Data tab, give that a go.
Akatosh2903
Sorry I left this thread to gather dust. Creatures can be used like that, for example Vendortron is a creature not a human. Did you follow these examples? http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Creating_a_new_vendorhttp://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Talk:Creating_a_new_vendorhttp://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Adding_items_to_vendors I read through those. Don't think any of the answers there helped. What I just did was bring up my vendor and Vendortron side-by-side and basically copied the latter onto the former.I think the big thing was that my guy had Autocalc Services ticked, like in the tutorial, but Vendortron didn't, and had separate categories of equipment ticked instead. I fixed that and now he works just fine. Thanks for the replies you two, especially you bjorn, I don't think Vendortron would've occurred to me otherwise.
