  1. Some of what you want to do is possible, but to turn fallout 4 in to fallout 3/NV is on a practical level extremely unlikely to ever happen. Most of what you want would have to be done via scripting. Having scripts sufficiently complex to do this and have the game remain stable seems like it would be a challenge. The time commitment required would be considerable. The suggestion to get Skyrim and the creation kit for that is a good one. If you already have fallout 4 and or NV you could get some idea from modding those as well. I suspect that the scripting would be similar. I wish you luck, but I think you will probably find such a global overhaul to be very challenging. Maybe start smaller.
  2. You don't need to add a file to a BSA to re-texture something. You can have it loose (in the correct path). Loose files take precedence over the ones in a BSA. Or you can create a new BSA using the FOMM create a BSA tool. For a single texture, I suggest you just use a good path and archive invalidation to add the file to your game.
  3. How many mods have you installed? The max total (including the game files) is 139. You said 'THE MOD' implying a singular mod is giving you a problem. Which makes the obvious questions: Have you tried a different mod? Have you read the install instructions for the mod? Have you tried unpacking the file you are downloading to see if it includes all the files? Also what is the name of the "THE MOD".
  4. Run your load order through FNVEdit. Consider making a merge patch (compatibility patch) with FNVEdit (very easy) Consider adding some of the stability increasing mods such as NVAC, YUP, MMUE and possibly NVEC. If it is still a problem, cut mods a few at a time to see which one is buggy.
  5. Which of my original suggestions have you tried thus far?
  6. It varies. Read the description and installation instructions for each. merge patch is last. YUP is fairly early (first after the esp's is fine) MMUE comes some place after YUP and so on.
  7. Count your load order, max is 139. Depending on which ones and how much resources they need some people have issues as early as 120ish. Check your load order with FNVEdit. Add some of the stability increasing mods like YUP, MMUE and NVAC. Also consider NVEC (not supposed to be a stability patch, but it helped me). Make a merged patch with FNVEdit (compatibility patch)
  8. Glad you got it sorted out. You don't need to give me kudos. I didn't actually help you. Even if I had, it still wouldn't be necessary. As for how to do it... you can click on my backup thingy and from the database side you can give anyone kudos.
  9. 138 mods, including YUP and a MERGERand what are you saying? You followed some of my suggestions and I am supposed to read your mind to find out how it is working? Load order has 139 items. Which is still ok, but pushing it. Did you look at the contents of the merged patch to see what it was doing? Is your game performing better so far? wsex is known to cause some problems. Don't recall exactly what it conflicts with but I believe it includes several companion mods (such as Willow). I still suggest that WMXUE is a better choice then WMX for games with lots of mods.
  10. Most of the time texture corruption is caused by too many mods or other thing which is causing too much strain on the game engine. It can also be caused by corrupt texture files and mod conflict. Run your load order through FNVEdit Create a compatibility patch (called a Merged Patch) Consider adding stability improving mods like YUP, NVAC and possibly NVEC. (If you do, you will need a new merged patch). I see you already have MMUE. Load Yup early and MMUE later. If it is still a problem, re-install your game and mods.
  11. New Vegas is or at least was a Steam exclusive. Not sure what uPlay wold be allowed to sell but it probably would not work well with the stuff here since many mod managers and other programs expect them to be in a steam path. I suggest you ask uplay if it is a steam game or not. ... edit ... Ok found this with google: http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comments/1rqmqb/uplay_fallout_new_vegas_ultimate_edition_5/ In which a couple of users claim they got a steam key. If true, this means it is completely compatible.
  12. Jaege, Not suggesting you get a sports car. If your present computer does it for you, stay with it. No need to upgrade. Your truck analogy falls apart a little since you're not really buying sports cars or trucks... unless you want include specialty built gaming PCs (sports car) with a specialty built workstation (truck), but both of those are HIGH end. I advocated middle to lowend but upgradable. Your present PC is no truck. It is more like a Pinto made from knock-off parts. New shocks and such mean buying stuff compatible with your locked in system and will result in a locked in system with a slightly nicer bit here and there. For example, the two weakest links are the powersupply and the funky case size. The way to make meaningful upgrades is to use your PC until it no longer meets your need and then replace it with one better designed to your long term goals. Have a nice day, Bjorn
  13. this will purge your cell buffers but this may mess up some mods. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52428/? Also what you describe is most likely caused by other things. Too many mods Incompatible mods both of the above corrupt save file Too many companions The game has horrible memory management. Keep the load order under 139 use 4gb loader (with NVSE), YUP, MMUE, NVAC (and consider NVEC) Reduce memory use by compressing stray graphics files (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46074/?) If you are using NMC's textures drop down a level.. For example, I have a very high end system but only use medium.
