phl4pj4x
Hi all! I've finished the SI main quest, but ever since Sheogorath left, there's now a HUGE, like 4x big, staffless version of him just standing in front of the throne, balancing a staff he no longer has... he only yells at me when I talk to him, but he's not supposed to be there, because I AM him now! WTF? I want to sit in my throne and watch my dancer, but his massive banker-ass is in my face!
Monolithic0117
Do you by any chance have a save-game before doing the quest? That would probably fix it. If not, activate the console, click on Sheogorath, and type "disable" (without quotes). That also might fix it.
phl4pj4x
<snip> save-game before doing the quest? ... "disable" <snip> Thank you. I've tried disabling him, but consistently once he's disabled and I exit the console (just by hitting ~ again), I get an immediate CTD. :( Unfortunately for me, I've done so much since finishing that quest that I'm really loathe to go all that way back. Ah well. I've made him small (lol!) so maybe I can just move his model somewhere out of the way, like the ceiling or something. Meh. Silly bugs. Thanks for the suggestion, though! lezard_valeth21
do not disable Sheogorath. even though he is no longer needed for any quests you cant disable him because the game still relates him to the stages you didnt complete(for example if you choose to aid the golden saints then you didnt get the stage completition for the dark seducers quest) thats why i think you are getting CTDs. the bug you report is extremely rare do you have the latest patch and if you are using a custome race/hair etc. did you advance the tree quest via console command? the only solution is to load an older savegame as you can see from your problem oblivion spawns unpredictable bugs from time to time so its always recommended to keep a back up savegame(pecially with shivering islands cause its really buggie check on UESP wiki)
iavor55
Use the console either to kill him either to size him at such a small size that he wont be qable to get in the way!Sadly i dont remember any of those commands aexcept the command "kill" wich is totaly obvius
lezard_valeth21
that wont work. if he is sheogorath hell be set as essentiall if you use kill you knock him unconcious and then hell get up after a while.
AzirAphale001
I believe the console outranks essential. But killing him would have the same problems as disabling him.
Johny Obliv
The console doesn't outrank essential, essential people will just get unconscious when console-killed.
MrLXIV
Unmark as essential, then kill command, that'll work if it doesn't CTD
lezard_valeth21
it probably will CTD.oh well my advise is to exit shivering, save in a player's house, uninstall oblivion(only not knights, wizard tower or other mods)reinstall both oblivion and shivering and patch. the problem may be resolved as well as not if the pathgrid is saved into the savegame. better do the reinstallation with an old savegame.
