As it's been patched, it's gotten closer and closer to the open world RPG formula. In the current version, it features leveling, spell tomes, random dungeons, an underworld called the Nether, dragons, skeleton warriors, craftable weapons and armor, NPC villages, castles and ruins, farming, and more. Minecraft is not only the best Indie game in memory, it's also one of the best open world sandbox RPGs available, provided you don't mind that there are no scripted quests. http://i.imgur.com/N3gik.jpg Edited October 4, 2013 by Rennn

brokenergy
Dragon Age Origins is nothing like TES series, nothing. The guy wants a game where it is like TES i.e open world and hack and slash, both that DA series doesn't have being a party based, real time RPG. So go back and play Daggerfall, or go into SR 2-4, GTA series, the Wizardry series, Might and Magic or even Deus Ex.

As hoofhearted said, I was listing many good RPGs with traits in common, not replicas of Skyrim or Fallout. DAO doesn't play like TES, but it is a serious medieval RPG with a focus on player decisions, and it's a game that I enjoy and would therefore recommend to RPG and ARPG fans. I'm not saying get TES clones, I'm saying stick to the criteria that the person asks. They are two different things concepts.
