Sterki
So, I've been playing Skyrim ever since it was released and only recently (speaking about maybe a few months, half a year at maximum) I noticed that distant land outside both Skyrim and Sosltheim becomes a bunch of random generated stuff forming a square that surrounds the entire area (and it's way more noticeable on the sea).Basically, when I look at the horizon all I see is a lot of land over the water that shouldn't be there.Upon closer examination, it just vanishes, although the world map clearly points out a bunch of perfectly defined, square land surrounding the map. Due to Solstheim being an island, it becomes much more apparent there. I'm going to attach a couple of links to shots of the issue (I took the three of them at Solstheim to make it easier to see, but as I said, it does happen at Skyrim too) and I hope anyone out there seeing this has any idea of what's happening. The first one is of the map (the square pattern I'm talking about is clearly visible here) http://www.flickr.com/photos/95301000@N08/10052807343/ Then a shot of how the bug appears when I'm playing; http://www.flickr.com/photos/95301000@N08/10052694575/ Then a shot of how everything looks fine when I get cose enough; http://www.flickr.com/photos/95301000@N08/10052635344/ While this issue isn't gamebreaking or anything (I keep a tidy and relatively small load order, sort with BOSS and the game is overall quite stable), it's certainly bugging me, specially at my beloved Solstheim, so I'd greatly appreciate any help or tips. Sterki
I have no idea what's causing it. I tried starting a new game with no mods (save for the unofficial patches and start another life, which are essential and have always worked fine for me) but the problem still persists. I'll try renaming the meshes and textures folder to something else and do some research to see if I can restore the ini files to whatever default values they had before I have to resort to reinstalling the whole thing.
