malamutekid
please ignore the lame topic title I was thinking that it would be cool to use Oblivion resources with Fallout. What if someone made a mod where, maybe you go farther into the future, and civilization has begun to truly rebuild, but with a medieval, oblivion-ish feel to it. Mutant plants have grown, DC is lush with new mutant-derived creatures, Super-Mutants have become Ogres, feral ghouls have become zombies maybe, Ghouls, Humans, etc become the races of the future, rifles used like staffs new civilizations could be using old scrap metal & materials to build their own technology Maybe it could be a quest where you get frozen or something, or a total conversion mod What do you guys think of the idea? KloHunt3r
It would be a good idea, if it weren't for the legal implications. :ermm:
Rockatanskiy
It would be a good idea, if it weren't for the legal implications. :ermm: Couldn't we treat this hypothetical mod the same way as mods that use DLC like the pitt? Perhaps if this was made and uploaded, you could only download the .esps and resources that are user made, while you need to already have oblivion to get everything. Couldn't you just instruct people to copy the .bsa files from oblivion to the fallout 3 data folder?
TGBlank
You do realize the sheer size and work that such a mod would require, and that, to make fallout into oblivion... it'd be easier to just play oblivion... right?.
IceDragon987
It is illegal to call upon Oblivion resources in Fallout 3. EVERYTHING would have to be user made or Bethesda will completely shut down this mod to the fullest extent as it is, again, a breach in the EULA.
