Laserbeam eyes

I got struck by a random idea while I was out walking around, and thought it might make for a cool mod.

I'm an old comic freak, and used to read a lot of the Marvel X-Men comics.

The thought was to make a visor like Cyclops had, and turn it into a weapon. Set it up to fire the lasers that Assaultrons use, tho renamed, so that if somebody was to say.... add cover penetration... to the attacks, it wouldn't carry over to assaultrons too. YIKES!

I was kinda thinking of keying it to the bash function, like Tooun did with their knife attacks in their USP mod. So that it could be worn and used, while still being able to carry around a primary weapon.

What I was seeing in my head was having a big, nasty, tanky mofo that I'm filling full of lead while they're coming at me, then blasting the living hell out of them, when they get too close for comfort.

 

I know it would require custom modeling, and custom animations. And most likely patching to weapons (ugh) to over-ride the bash animation (unless it could be scripted?)

 

Anyways, it was what I thought was a cool idea that popped into my head, so I thought that I'd share, maybe somebody else would think it was cool too.
