Dagoth Ur has done research into how 2 make the body a malleable substance via magicka which can be manipulated or something like that, (i did actually read about this somewhere in game either from an NPC or a book i dont remember) which is how his followers change into Ascended Sleepers and look all wierd. i think that "golden mask" IS actually Dagoth Ur's face.
