The new Radeon card class coming out soon gpus

Recommended Posts

Its official then, I'm going back to Nvidia this year, the one things driving me bats is the micro stuttering amd has a issue with these days, if they can fix that then i might reconsider.

Hmm you might be right, also they improved the scaling and all this time it was set to 1x, sigh amd you could of fixed that long ago.

I updated to the latest drivers just now, I'll get back to you if the microstuttering is gone

having a 7950 right now, i was planning on getting 2 in the future. after playing Borderlands 2 with Physx enabled in the CPU, im debating now. i honestly might just get an nvidia car in another generation or two. Physx was awesome. i absolutely loved it in Borderlands 2. going back to it on Ps3 just wasnt the same without it.

its something to think about when im ready to upgrade. but i think with that said, ill probably hold off on going xFire. i got AMD because they were cheaper, but Physx is worth the little extra i think. the decision is still going to be another two generations of cards or more off, i wont ditch my 7950 until i see it under recommended/minimum for specs but yea. at the rate AAA games are going, that might only be another year or so anyways (which would be another 2 or 3 card generations like i plan lol)

I agree, the drivers and the stability and the ease of use was one thing i was missing, messing around with profiles is pain sometimes when it comes to crossfire.

It disables itself if its not used fro the specific game you are using, it won't auto select the best profile for the game you are currently playing. In return will cause graphical glitches or slow downs, or disables it completely..

I've been going on about how PhysX is epic for months. <3

I know AMD is a good company with strong video cards, but I simply can't see myself buying another AMD card (I've had 1 in the past), unless they manage to enter the physics market on a competitive level. A Titan or a 7970 will both max any game easily for fair prices respective to their performance, and since games are now firmly in uncanny valley as far as raw visuals go, it's likely that the 'winner' in the next generation of video cards will be determined by Nvidia's and AMD's physics solutions.

That said, I will most likely end up getting another AMD CPU for my next upgrade. If I wanted to get an Intel CPU I'd have to replace my motherboard first, and I don't have the cash for a new Mobo and a new CPU.

i am thinking very strongly about getting a titan anyways, the consumer models coming out will be a downgraded version to 5gb of vram and the cuda cores decrease by 100???, uncertain of the true specifications but I'm guessing the new titans will drag the first gen titans price down a bit.

but me I'm a stubborn and impatient so its going to be sooner than later :D

If I could recommend a nice board for a good price, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-130-693 or for a little more, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-130-692.

Intel socket 1150, and rock solid performance. I am more partial to the MSI (M/X)Power series of boards however, but the gaming ones are still really nice.

I recommend anything Asus, like the Sabertooth models, they support anything and everything, except Intel.

I have the v1 model.

I have the version one model, also supposedly my model supports quad sli. mine is a amd ready mobo though, some reason can't find the box. or model anymore.

 its pretty hard to find a mobo these days that support both quad sli and quad crossfirex.
