pharo3331
Just a minor question concerning mobile workshopsI have noticed a lot of mods about mobile workshops but have yet to find one that actually allows the scrapping of more than just a couple of twigs etcCan someone suggest one that does the same as the main settlement workshopsQuite possibly looking in the wrong places but any help would be gratefully appreciated
StormWolf01
Heyas Pharo :)Ok there's good news and bad news here. Bad news is that mobile workshops don't have that functionality. The items that can be scrapped in a settlement, are pre-defined FOR the settlement. And have to be altered via a .esp/esl file. Therefore since the workshop has no pre-defined settlement, the workshop can't scrap items that are a normal part of the worldspace. There ARE scrapping mods, like Scrap Everything that Can help you out with getting rid of some of that stuff. Thats the good news. The further bad news tho, is that doing so out in the worldspace can be dangerous. You can break what are called pre-combines, which can ruin the cell that the stuff is in. Which, can cause crashing when you are in, or enter, the cell. I can't remember for sure if SKK makes a mod that is pre-combine safe, or not. I know that he's posted about it before, but its been long enough back that my goldfish memory doesn't remember a lot of what he'd posted :(

fraquar
The issue with mobile workshops is that unless you disable precombines (generally a really bad thing) there is nothing to scrap - because everything is part of a super mesh. That twig you see on the road isn't just a twig, it's everything around that twig all on one mesh. This game simply wasn't built to scrap the wasteland - though TBH that is pretty much what everybody thinks the first time they pass an abandoned car on a road, or stuff "littering" an area they'd like to settle. My favorite place to settle is actually across from the Super Mutants you meet entering Diamond City from the North. The issue is to scrap and rebuild that makeshift coffee shot means you have to disable EVERY precombine in the game. Great if you never plan on leaving that area, and I've actually built a 4 story splash pad with roof-top power and water collection. Once you leave that area though - whammmo - your done. StormWolf01
Heyas Again Pharo :smile:Ok, so there's a new (to me) mod out, called SCRAP. It Might be exactly what you are looking for. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61092?tab=descriptionI haven't tested it out (I haven't played the game in several months) but the description sounds as tho it is Previs and Precomb save, because the author rebuilt them. You might try it out on a test character (to keep any potential damage out of your regular play save games) for a while to try it out, and see if that is what you are looking for.I do not know if he only rebuilt the precombs in existing settlements, or if he added them to the entire worldspace. But yeah. This might be something to check out  Oh, it does require all DLCs tho.
