Weapon damage values too high

weapon damage values are sky high. Removed weapon and gameplay related mods and started a new game - same issue. 10mm pistol base damage should be around 18.. mine starts around 84 I think.

I have no idea what is causing this but its bugging me. Hopefully someone can help me out here. All guns have high damage. Shotguns boast a high damage value too, but for whatever reason their damage feels really nerfed when I am using them. NPCs will one shot me with them though. Melee weapons seem unaffected.

I couldnt find those "project" mods that you have listed. Tho they look like they alter weapon behavior.

Nothing else really looks like a culprit. Did you change game difficulty settings? That can affect your damage.

Armament.

Armament moves damage from the weapon to the ammo - but since the mod only includes the ammo you get a multiplicative effect.

Base game has the damage on the Weapon - my guess is the mod author has already removed that damage on the weapons in his game.

 

TBH, that is the kind of weapons mechanic decision you are either all in on - or all out of. You can't mix and match.

Personally, I like to do things this way - but it is a method that screams conflict with everything that is built on the base game weapon damage.

For the 10mm ammo he has a Damage value of 60, the default value is 0.
