Shezza2022
Dear Fellow Adventurers: Greetings from Canada! I'm Shezza. I have just been told that I need TWO SSD to run both Windows and Skyrim. I have only one in my new gaming tower. Question: Is there a way to get around this and still have the AE version play correctly? I have also recently re-installed Skyrim Classic and have found that I can't past the loading screen, which won't let the game launch as we all know. Question: Is there a way around this as well? I'm also looking for modpacks for both Skyrim Classic and SSEAE that's not too difficult for me install and play on my own. Modpacks that are well balanced and won't crash to the desktop. I thank you kindly for your time. I remain, Sincerely yours always, Shezza.
IsharaMeradin
Depending upon the size of your current SSD, you may need a second drive (SSD or HDD). If your drive is 512gb or larger, you could be fine with just the one drive. Of course, the more mods you want to use, the more space it will take up. It is nice to have two drives (one for Windows and one for games) but it is not necessary if the drive in use is large enough. When trying to run 32 bit Skyrim, are you doing this with or without mods? If it is the first time, it should always be ran without mods and from Steam. This is to allow the INI files to be properly created. Trying to start the game with mods without having initialized the game will cause problems similar to what you are describing. As far as mod packs / collections, no idea. I have not delved into Nexus' collection system.
wfandrews
I do not know much about mod packs, however if you want to take advantage of Nexus "Collections", which I believe are essentially mod packs you should download and install Vortex as your mod manager. Vortex is a mod manager which was created by Nexus and is supported and updated by them. There is a dedicated Vortex forum on Nexus in which you can get expert advice on all aspects of Vortex from installing, setting up and running the mod manager.. For your purposes I believe this is the best option for you as you need Vortex to use these "Collections" I would advise you to visit the Vortex forum for any advice on that mod manager.
