Quest for new armor-weapons

You should make it so when the armor levels you start to get corrupted by the curse of the armor. You skin should start to crack and some sort of tattoos form on you and your eyes turn a deep red. Once you max out the leveling you get a journal entry saying. You are no longer considered a mortal. People faint in your presence. You are no longer what you use to be. You are now a puppet of Sithis. You are Sithis bidding. You exist because the void wills you to. Technically you are Sithis. or something like that.

But your not litterly sithis. Also when you are in combat the blue parts on the armor should turn red. Are you going to make a faction?

thanks for your awesome armor

-w2drs21 :thanks:

Tracking how long you wear the armor and having quest stages is easy enough to do...as it is, I plan on tracking the number of kills done with the sword for its' level. A "Sithis" faction could be created that mods some other dispositions, but not all. The actual "fear" effect could be done as a pulse spell.

As for the skin changes, I don't think I can do specific marks like tattoos as an effect, but I can do color changes and "texture" effects. I'll even look into the games aging controls with vampirism.

Now the armor thing....I don't know of any way to dynamically change colors in a texture itself.

Would 'Get IsInCombat = 1' work? Coupled with an AddItem/EquipItem I think it would work to change the colour of the armor. Make two versions of the mesh, one for each colour, and change the one that's equiped. Correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm hardly a scripter.

That's certainly an option, but there may be a slight delay with the change. Oblivion doesn't like to equip an item in the same frame it is added. Generally you need to have a frame delay, but I might be able to work out the weight difference so you can have both versions in the inventory for the overlap frame (I want to avoid the "You are over-encumbered" issue).

The armor looks awesome, but the quest seems to short. If I'm going to get an armor bound to my char for all eternity which has godly stats, then it probably wouldn't feel so realistic just killing one person then all of a sudden you're so powerful. Maybe there should be some prerequisite quests with a lot of searching for things and killing people... maybe you're somehow connected to this person via dreams something like that. With other mods, to me it just doesn't make sense that I'm level 2 or 3 and I find some armor through a fairly hard quest but then through the rest of the game I'm immortal whereas previously I die in 1 hit to anything stronger than bandits. Another suggestion maybe you could make him immortal (at least to back stabs) or go unconscious (then there's one secret way to kill him) because I use deadly reflex and I could just tumble in there and cut his head right off via sneak attack (that wouldn't make much of a challenge would it haha)

Also for the armor a female version would be nice... don't know if you're planning to make it but just to let you know

I think Zeralesaar can work out some more "seeking" to the quest, but we plan on having your 1 main character to kill a few levels above, and his version of the armor will have more buffs.

Also, don't forget the curse... as the armor takes damage from battle, you will start to get weaker. I can add in a console command to adjust the weaknesses for difficulty adjustment.

As for the female version, I plan on it, but I haven't decided exactly how. I'm not good enough to start completely from scratch, so I'll need a template. Any suggestions would be great.

Goes back to a more robust armor idea i post on here a few weeks ago. You make those pauldrons bigger, you have answered a wish from many on forum. Both robustness and Warhammer, that countless threads have been made for. Really you have done a wonderful job with that mod, you have skills to get the details of the armor. I have good friend that makes costumes and other movie props. Making some Chaos "Red" armor, for big Halloween event, got learn to wear platforms to get the height right...

next mod Beef Cake the mighty armor from Gwar.. come it one be a legionnaire from hell lol

I believe I can effectively make the pauldrons bigger and keep the animation working for 3rd person, but not so sure for 1st. As it is, I need to try and tweak some 1st person issues with the existing pauldrons (which actually ticks me off since they move perfectly in 3rd person).
