Newcomer's Questions about Cosmetic Mods

I'm no newcomer to installing Oblivion mods, running 52 mods fine as of now. However seeing that I've only owned the game for 6days I'm still clueless on which are the cosmetic mods to get, definitely a newbie in this department. So far I've got:

 

Ren's Full Beauty Pack (Hairs + Faces + Eyes + Mystic Elf Race)

 

Tamriel NPCs Revamped

 

Robert's Male Body Replacer V3 (Upgrading when I finally figure out which version is the latest)

 

Exnem's Female Eyecandy + HGEC addon (looking for HGEC GUTS addon)

 

Improved Facial Textures

 

All of them work fine in OBMM, got a few conflict messages but resolved through Wrye Bashing and load order reordering. Still, I've got a bunch of questions:

 

Q1) Looking at the list above, are there any possible conflicts that would not be resolved through my Wrye Bashing and load ordering? (in case I missed any)

 

Q2) Latest version of Robert's Male Body Replacer? (Link if possible please)

 

Q3) Link to HGEC GUTS download page? (Believe me, I've tried searching)

 

Q4) Recommended hi-res texture pack assuming I'm going

a) Exnem Eye Candy ---> HGEC addon

b) Exnem Eye Candy ---> HGEC addon ---> HGEC GUTS addon

 

Q5) Generally content but not fully satisfied with my face mods (compared to those godly screenshots I keep seeing). Recommend a face pack or two please?

 

Q6) Heard of Beautiful People V2.2, will it conflict with my above list of mods if I get it?

A2) Currently, lasest version of Robert's Male Body replacer is 4. 5 was WIP last time I checked, and I don't think it's ready to download yet, despite of already available meshes and textures.

 

A5) There's no 'face pack'(Since Oblivion uses SI Facegen SDK to create face shape), but you can get other's saved games, then transplant it to your saved game via some utilitiesm like ElderFaceLift or Oblivion Face Exchange Lite. Or, you can download demo version of SI Facegen Modeller and make your own face, then transplant it to saved game with Facegen to Oblivion converter.

 

A6) The last version of Beautiful People is 2.7. Of course, it's not recommended to use 2 or more cosmetic mods at once. Body replacers or facial textures do not conflict with any cosmetic mod. However, some body replacer, like Robert's Male body, uses plugin to assign different texture for each race. So, you'll need to merge body replacer plugin to cosmetic mod, or use Wrye Bash to make a 'bashed' patch.

I've gone to using Cosmetic Compilation revived which is a merge of several Beauty mods. Its not perfect but its nice and has enough features for me. I used to use Rens plus the others in the merged file but it was such a mess to Bash I just loaded the Compilation and started from there. I use the EC body with Roberts v4 male.

A3) HG EyeCandy Body, it's there among the other download options.

 

A4) High Rez Skin Textures for HGEC by Ozmo, is what I've been using. I also advice you to get Luchaires HGEC Body Seam Reducer.

@ LFact: Thanks for your replies. Think I'll still be getting Beautiful People since its bashable. Didn't know about the whole issue with faces, gonna get myself some savegame downloads from PlanetElderScrolls. Seen a Robert's Replacer V5 floating about too, dunno if it's a WIP or complete

 

@ Frodric: I've looked at the Compilation before, 3 days ago I think. Kinda freaked me out with all those features that I didn't know about. Maybe I'll give it a second look.

 

@ Elraine: D'oh! Now how did I miss that when it was on the same download page.... And those two texture/seam addons are exactly what I was after, thanks.

 

Any input for Questions 1/4/5 is still welcome by the way. As well as clarifications on which is the latest working version of Robert's Male Replacers. Thanks to all in advance.
