  1. Do NOT edit oblivion_default.ini. It is a template of Oblivion.ini generation.(at worst, you may reinstall whole game just because of this file) Oblivion.ini should be at \(Username)\(My Documents)\My Games\Oblivion\.
  2. TES4Gecko reads certain registry entry that was generated at installation back then. Said entry is not 'generated' at Windows 10(64bit) I think, so you need to manually add it. By the way, have you read this? https://forum.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=30305/&do=findComment&comment=121251849 And, If I'd make a shortcut or batch file, I'll make one in the place where TES4Gecko is, then edit it. (I'm lazy, so I just let Java installer make association with .jar)
  3. It's not that hard to make one. But you may need to do many times of drag-and-drop if there are many many hairs(and eyes, maybe) to add. - (Make a plugin that adds 'extra' hairstyles to races you want) 1. (In CS) If a hairstyle is not playable, check 'playable' at hair list(Character->Hair). Do not close the list yet. 2. Open race window(Character->Race), go to 'Body Data' tab. Choose any race you want. 3. Click any hair you want. Drag it on the Body data->Hair Styles list. This will add new hair style to a race. 4. Rinse and repeat.
  4. Does GOG Oblivion support cloud save? (I don't use launcher, so I don't know... but if so, you can disable it at 'Manage installation'->'Configure'->'Features')
  5. Just stopped by: If you read about Elder Scrolls lore, you may find devs construct Nirn's pantheon(s) and religion(s) based on 'how real world polytheistic religions and pantheons work(and transform)'. This fictional world have gods who meddle with mortals in various ways, and sometimes(though rare) appear before them in flesh. Also they have regional, racial variants of those gods as well as local minor gods.
  6. Have you tried this: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9360
  7. I've heard GOG version is, don't know about steam version(dispite of having one in my library).
  8. Maybe through WINE? I don't know about that, though.... But I think you can patch files in your PC, then transfer them to Steam Deck?
  9. Currently known popular body mods(HGEC/RM/RF) have underware option(Robert's male body has several...). You wouldn't find any 'non-nude skin texture' because underware is clothing meshes on base body. **Oh, and don't forget to get 'Seamless' series by junkacc11. It will reduce seams(almost invisible).
  10. I've seen blank EGT for Head06(from Head06 resource), but I don't think I've found blank vanilla head and body EGT files. (You may need them if you want to 'disable' facegen color slider without turning off Facegen texturing in Oblivion.ini) Has anyone made and shared them ever?
  11. 'The title is the question' Because why not. Weeks ago my desktop computer died after suffering sudden freezing for several days, so I had to buy new parts and build one. I reinstalled the game this morning, but this time I installed one from GOG. Since I also have the game in my steam library, I wondered if I can install both at the same computer. Of course, both copies will likely share documents\My Games\Oblivion if it can be done(would thay share registry as well?). I don't think I'd try that, but maybe....
  12. And, if you got the game(GOTY) from Steam or GOG, you won't need patches.
  13. Hmph.... then backup your music folder first, delete all metadata from those mp3 files with any means and check if the game would play them... (I wonder if bitrate also matters. If not, I'd try to replace all the vanilla tracks from OST I bought from steam)
  14. The music files are in \(Whateverfolder)\Oblivion\Data\Music\ as normal mp3 files. If the music is truly replaced, all you can do is reinstall the game unless you made backup of vanilla data files. (Well, if you're on steam, you don't need to reinstall the whole game...)
  15. To convert armor, you may need 3D modelling tool, such as blender. And there was a set of tools called 'KGTools' which generates lattices and convert outfits for different body types.
  16. Just wait for someone makes replacement engine for Oblivion(something like OpenMW), however long it takes.
  17. I think I've heard DR6 'accidentally' installs replacement body meshes... Maybe I'm misremembering.
  18. Unfortunately, Vortex may not be optimal mod organizer for Oblivion, for it is an old game way before Vortex, and many mods are packaged for manual installation, or either for Oblivion Mod Manager(.omod) or Wrye Bash(BAIN package).
  19. A typical 'wrong textures on wrong meshes' symptom. You have OCO and 'Enhanced Genetice Overhaul' in your load order, both are affecting races and NPCs, such mods are tend to be incompatible for many cases. And, if you read EGO descriptions carefully, it states 'SERIOUSLY; OCO IS NOT COMPATIBLE'. - Uninstall both(with cleaning up eye meshes and textures as well), install only one of them. **I'm not sure if there are other cosmetic/race related mods which affect eye meshes and textures there, but it's possible they may not be compatible with OCO or EGO.
  20. Few .omod files, such as 'Horse Armor Revamped' by harlanrm, may not be installed with Wrye Bash, for the install script should manipulate BSA files, meshes and textures while installing in this case. Haven't seen BAIN package doing it yet.
  21. For most cases, unless the author of the mod adds some race check condition or something to generic quests, NPCs of unplayable races may show 'I have NO greeting'.
  22. 1. Check if you installed OBSE. (they should be in where you installed the game) 2. Check if OBSE is working. (one way of checking it: open console, type player.additemNS 0000927B 1. If the command works(adding potion of dispel without showing any message), OBSE is working. Otherwise, it would show error message in console) 3. Check if Blockhead is installed properly. (All OBSE plugins should be at (your game)\data\OBSE\plugins)
  23. I'm afraid of if there's none. The 'range' of facial sliders are probably hard coded.
  24. BSA file date matters when you're going to do BSA redirection. File dates from old disc version (format: yyyy-mm-dd) Oblivion - Meshes.bsa: 2006-01-29 Oblivion - Misc.bsa: 2006-02-08 Oblivion - Sounds.bsa: 2006-01-30 Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa: 2006-01-30 Oblivion - Voices1.bsa: 2006-01-24 Oblivion - Voices2.bsa: 2006-01-24
  25. Hmph, can you post your mod loading order? And, what options have you ticked when you built a bashed patch?
