Slaiv
I honestly don't think the quality of a mod is based on ones writing abillities, but thats just me.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>If you have a storyline, it does. As far as making meshes, textures, and worldbuilding, they require this also - the kind of models, etc... all depend on the history of your world, etc.... Ramhu
Bosmer (Wood Elves) live in trees, like you said, although Dunmer (Dark Elves) live in different kinds of architecture depending on what House, where they live, etc. The three primary forms of architecture are are Redoran (ex: Ald'ruhn), Hlaalu ( ex: Balmora), and Telvani (ex: Sadrith Mora). If you have Tribunal, there is also Indoril architecture (ex: Mournhold). Then, there are are two more if I remember correctly, being the Ashlander yurts (ex: Urshikalu Camp) and Strongholds (ex: Kogoruhn).<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could?.. i make it like houses in trees? or just on ground, because we are talking about elves.. here.. Abramul
If you read A Dance in Fire, you get to 'see' some different bosmer architectural styles. Their capital city is actually built in a migrating tree...bumpy ride, likely.
Malchik
There are mods that put houses in the trees so it's pretty much what you want. Why not have some in the trees, some on the ground and a few living in a cave underneath? That would give you a bit more choice with the interiors. Ramhu
ya, i am thinking about doing that. Also in this mod i am going to have a few quest, and a guild to join. thats what i have been planing. I don't know how to make new graphics for weapons and things like that but.. i am going to learn so i can make awesome mods for morrowind 3 and the new morrowind 4. Slaiv
I think you mean The Elder Scrolls 3 and 4. ^_^ Anyway, get together a team. It sounds like you have a lot planned for your project, and working with various people provides you with learning opportunities and experiences - I learned how to model in a team, for example. Just an idea - you could have a class system - richer people live in the trees, as they provide more natural protection, are more "luxurious," middle on the ground, etc... Ramhu
yea thanx, i am thinking about running a team. I have two friends at school that play morrowind.. and one knows alittle about the toolset but i'll talk to them about it.
Malchik
A word of advice. Do the work in bite-sized chunks that are playable on their own. Then if the full project runs out of steam half way through you can still be content with what you've done. Good luck.
