Ziomster04
I'll get straight to the point. I've created a Radio Station mod that adds 15 custom Friderick Chopin songs to a new radio station. Everything works smooth (well, the .mp3's kinda lag-up when listening ingame). But that's besides the point. My point is when I set up a radio in the game to use the custom radio station, for no reason, it just DOES NOT work!!! I've set the radio to use that radio station, and the radio station itself has all the songs and everything set up. I can hear everything from the PipBoy radio, but at the same time NOT from a static radio that could be found on a table (once again, I modified it to use this channel). Does anyone know any work-arounds around this, or whether this is a common issue? I would also attach the file for examination, but I noticed it takes up A LOT of space lol... EDIT: I originally tried formatting as mentioned in the tutorials; I have two file types for each musical song:- .mp3 = 96kbps, mono, 44kHz- *** .wav = 705kbps, mono, 44kHz, 16-bit PCM formatI did as stated in both this and that tutorials Edit 2: Then I even tried formatting files the same way Bethsoft used in their game!- .mp3 = 192kbps, stereo, 44kHz- .mp3 - 96kbps, mono, 44kHz- *** .wav = 705kbps, mono, 44kHz, 16-bit PCM format, *** = The supposed-to-use statistics are 352kbps, mono, 22kHz, 16-bit kHZ; Couldn't change most of these statistics with my program. Holty07
I'm a newb to all of this but have you setup the lower quality versions specifically for the non-pipboy radios? What I mean is when you look at the other radio stations, they have two versions one is normally name and the second has a "_mono" at the end. Since nobody else has posted I figured I'd throw out a newb idea for ya.
Ziomster04
Yep, I tried both that idea and the tutorial one, but none worked :/. By that I mean I tried having .mp3 and .wav files of the same song with same names, I tried .mp3 and _mono.wav, as well as .mp3, _mono.mp3, and _mono.wav files, but none of that worked. It's like a very weird bug that doesn't work. I always have these weird problems happen to me :PThanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it! Wonder what I have done wrong though ;P
Ziomster04
WOW!!! THE most retarted problem ever >.< Case solved... I changed the broadcast range from a radius of 4096 (yes, according to game terms, I was near a radio that was about 1024 units away from it, yet I didn't hear poo lol! Then I tried changing the range to everywhere, and voila! It works like a charm. Case solved, hope this helps out anyone that makes the same mistake (possible that setting the static to 50% and standing 1/4 the radius away from the broadcasting terminal made it impossible to hear). PS: I believe that anything range/radius related should not be used in interiors, only exteriors. I.e. I tested out "everywhere" and the "this cell only" options, which both worked. But the radius one, no matter how I set it up, did NOT. PS2: Kudos to you for being the only one who attempted to help me lol!
