Dreag
Hey there! Been a while since I was last on here...and I Managed to fix that shining light problem by myself. :D Running vista, I cannot get into console so I was directed to the 'Ring of Console' mod which enables the console when equipped (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13133). Unfortunately in all my good fortune, I wear the ring but nothing happens. I tried using it when all other mods were turned off and I have re-downloaded and installed a few times now. The Oblivion_Default file has AllowConsole=1. Still no luck. Any ideas as to how I can get it working?
LFact
Do you have OBSE? I've never used it, because I don't have such problem. But I heard it requires OBSE.
AzirAphale001
Why don't you just press the '`' key to open the console? And LFact is right, it does require OBSE.
Dreag
Azir, it's because Vista's Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver somehow conflicts with the use of the Tilde key to open the console on Oblivion. :/ And as for OBSE, I tried installing it because it wasn't wrking with OBMM before I posted the thread, but upon attempt to run Oblivion using OBSE it came up with a message saying I should check my Oblivion Directory and that OBSE was installed. Did both. Didn't work.
AzirAphale001
Possibly a stupid question, but are you opening Oblivion with the OBSE loader?
Qwaxalot
You shouldn't be fiddling around here Oblivion_Default.ini file Make .ini changes in the Oblivion.ini file located in ...\documents\mygames\oblivion folder. If you're using the Infrared Transceiver, just unplug it when you're playing. Another possibility, if you're using a media center keyboard, change the drivers Good luck
Dreag
Problem fixed! A little inconvenient though, I need to uninstall the driver which re installs at boot up. So I need to uninstall it every time I want the console after it has been installed again. >.>
LFact
Or you can change console key with this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20446Still, you need OBSE.

LFact
Yeah OBSE ain't working fer me. ;P What version your game is? Current OBSE only supports latest version. And, there's no way to work it with D2D.
