Races, hair DAMNIT!

Ok so I'm trying to combine a number of different mods due to the fact they tend to override one another (any race changer overrides the Hairpack.esm I'm using to change NPC hair) but try as I might the damned file at the end of the process doesn't contain the hair settings.

These are the mods I'm trying to combine

1. Sarem's Hair (Yoki hairpack friendly version).

2. Geo Alien Hybrid.

3. Play as any race (including the Pitt race versions).

Now I do all the work in the GECK load the mods, make changes to all the changed files so that they should save into the same esp. Now I open up FOMM and turn the esp into an esm (because I want to be able to slave other esp's to this so that I can use the hair settings on NPCs). End result the hair settings didn't save into the esp so the file only consists of "Geo Alien Hybrid and play as any race.

It's frustrating and I don't know how to get it to do what I want it to do.

Agh!

What works for me is to copy the forms into a new esp using Fomm, use geck to set up the hairs to the races & the Fallout3.esm dependency, use fo3edit to delete any unchanged "changed" forms that the geck may decide to add. then esmify using Fomm.
