As far as Housing mods go, I stii like Elysium Estate best, with Lakeview Extended running a very close second.

E.Est. is VERY well laid out and has just about everything I'd want in a home mod. My hat's off to the designer(s). The only thing I'd like to see added is a defensive wall and gate, with sleeping arrangements for a couple of outside guards...though I can use the sleeping bag or tent mod and bed them down in the stable or out on the grounds.

Lakeview Extended is also VERY well thought out and stable. My main problems with the mod stem from the original Hearthfire expansion and not L.E. Frex, why won't a companion sleep in the big double bed upstairs? Not enough bookshelves. Toxic fumes building up in the basement. Minor design flaws like that.

The little wood pile mod in the corner of the basement shop is also very handy. Nice not to be required to constantly run outside to chop firewood.

The thing I like most about Hearthfire, other than the expansion of housing possibilities, is the occasional Giant assault, bandit raid, critter attack(dragon, wolf, etc.)and so on. Kinda spices up homelife doncha know.

Both E.Est. and L. Ext. come with heated outdoor bathing facilities, and E.EST. comes with a very large hottub upstairs. Now, some modding genius(certainly not me)needs to figure out how to cause a companion to get nekkid before climbing into the

water. Looks really silly when I'm looking for them and they're sitting in the water in full armor and furs. I figure it's a really tough mod or someone would've already done it.

Here's a thing though. Companion mods are quite frequently inpredictable in very interesting ways. On occasion I'll use the AP mod. Very often the ladies will run away after, be gone for a bit and then come running back. However, when upstairs in E.EST. the mod Alarynn Cruah would most often go and climb into the hottub while still in the altogether. The Cruah mod is the only one to have ever done so. That was almost creepy. Mods do learn. Don't know how, but they do.

I'm a fan of really small, but really functional houses. That said:

Pinewoods Cottage (by Blary) - I just remove the Smelter and a lot of the excess chests and fill those shelves with trinkets from my journeys

Heartwood Cottage (by wreznor) - love the no-load doors and the fact it's got a upper level outdoor patio. Again, I just remove the Smelter

For something a little bigger:

Bridge Farm (by Gentester) - So good that I use Random Alternate Start instead of Alternate Start - Live Another Life whenever I want to use this house mod (location conflict)

Theses a tutorial from subtanker on my mod page (click on the forums tab and then search for it) on how to make npcs go naked(step by step tutorial and the script is in there as well), you will need to understand the basics of applying scripts over areas though, so if you have never really done anything in the CK before it might be "difficult" to say the least.

I never could do this myself until subtanker handed me that tutorial.
