Friends with Outcasts

Is there anyway to make the Outcasts my friends again?

 

I don't like being on their bad side.

Sadly i dont think you can. If someone hate you and shoot at ya i dont think they gonna be your allies again. Sorry. :(

To get the outcast to let you into their base "ft independence" you have to trade a crapload of technology to Casdin(outcast leader) and eventually he will let you go on in. internally it's based on a point system. you need to reach 50 points total before he trust you. i only remember that the highest tech item you can give him is the alien power cell which is worth 10 pts each trade.but one trade is worth 12 cells so expect to lose a fair bit of ammo. you can also try pickpocketing him to get your tech back then fool the male without a father into trading for it again lol.. it's very hard to do so since a recent update but if your pickpocket skill is decently high you stand a good chance. just save your game and keep trying. :thumbsup:

 

Also, you can just pickpocket the key to the base from Casdin( A helluva lot easier than nabbing your tech back) and walk on in..though if you do it this way i dunno if the outcast will attack you.. i think they will but i never tried that way before.

 

You can also pick the lock on the base door but expect a firefight.. :blink:

What are the benefits of giving all this tech to them? What do you really get in return?

 

You get a lot of stuff in return that's way handy for the main quest: 5.56mm ammo, grenades, radaway and stimpacks if I'm not mistaken.

 

 

Basically, if you aren't playing an energy weapons character, you can go due north from Minefield a fair ways to the crashed alien scout ship and trade one of its power cells (it has like 12) for 240 rounds of 5.56mm ammo, or 11 radaway, or 11 stimpacks.

 

If you're a small guns character, you're likely never going to need to buy 5.56mm ammo again.
