JimboUK
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1458/45612472.jpg It doesn't seem to make any difference which effects I enable, it still looks the same. At 10 fps in first person and around two in third person I think I'll give up and leave someone who knows what they're doing to play with it :D
junin
im being srs though... with a little work, everything IS compatible... Try porting a shield from oblivion and give it full blocking functionality. If you need to chop it open, re-organize/re-write/re-code half of it, re-create the other half, and then add 2 times the effort/resources/code on top of it to make it work. I don't think you can call it "compatible". Actually I’ve done that as an experiment for a possible dual wield melee mod and it’s not too complicated. I did not use a shield though. Instead I used a reversed hunting knife for the offhand. It works pretty well. And you don’t have to do all that stuff you mentioned earlier. Both games are very similar on a technical level and it would be much easier to port things from oblivion to fallout than it would be to port from some other game. Skree is right, nothing is impossible. With enough work and effort you can accomplish great things. And when it comes to putting oblivion content in fallout, the work and effort is minimal, surely a lot easier than putting all those weapons from Battlefield 2142 into the game. Hats off to you Skree for not using your own excellent work as an example.
