So, I was thinking of making an arctic land, about the size of Shivering Isles. It would be completely unrelated to any Elder Scrolls history. There would be 4 new races, 7 new cities, a new main quest, 2 new guilds, new side quests, and new books, items, and NPCs. I'd like to know if I should try to do this, or if I should try something else. :confused:

Here's an example for you.This text will be on a note that must be translated using a book on languages.Most of it is already translated, but you will have to do the rest yourself.

 

Go to wel city of waso and turn right at the palace of loa to get to the ancient syeth of the le of Deswuju hunters. Be you Aquatite, Coldbones, or Walryyte you may still enter. You must have the key first. It is hidden in the flesh of the tamed and caged Icecrab outside. If you enter, you are welcome. By killing this animal, you have proven that you are a hunter.

The language of the modern Aquatite consists of several common roots. Here are some of the most common ones.

 

Syeth- Home

 

Wel- The

 

Aq- First

 

Tu- Magick

 

Loa- Elder

 

By putting these together we have some basic Aquatitian words, such as Loatu, or Alteration. Here are some more examples.

 

Aquatite- Aq means first, the root Uat means man, and Ite is fish. Naturally, Aquatites are the first cross between men and fish.

 

Aqsyeth- Aqsyeth was the first home of the Aquatites, but was ruined in the War of the Cold, a war between the Coldbones, magically raised deceased, and the united Aquatites and Aviaperials. It, and the island it was on, were taken over by the Coldbones, but it was desroyed and its pieces were used to create a Coldbones city. Luckily, afterwards most Coldbones have been successfully confined to the Coldbones island, which was recently renamed the Isle of the Dead.

This sounds like a big project and it's going to take a long time. You have an interesting idea and a good start but you need to consider how much you can do. Getting people interested in a large mod is next to impossible. Most of the work will have to be done by you. As for if you should try to make this mod, absolutely! This mod sounds interesting and original.
