trueandsmooth
I went through the read me from the fook zips, and I was blown away by the amount of content, I thought it was just weapons! But I've misunderstood the install guide, here parts of this dont make sense to me: "1) Make sure you have installed the latest version of ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!" "2) Extract Main Files Part 1 to your Fallout folder" ..(makes sense?) ?? "2) Now extract Main Files Part 2 and Part 3to your Fallout Data folder (yes you have to extract all parts seperatly)" ...(wait, so they dont all go into the fallout folder, part one goes into data, and the other two go into the regular fallout folder or do they all go into the data, or all go into the fallout folder?) ?? "4) After this extract the "Latest FOOK ESP's" file to your Data folder" 5a) Use FOMM to select the following files to load (you MUST select all three): ..(wait, I looked through the fallout folder and saw fomm, but its just a folder, how are you ment to use a folder to select things to load??) ?? # CALIBR.esm# FOOK.esm...... (other mods)...# FOOK.esp ..(and is this the aparent load order?) ?? 5b) Additiontaly you can use other FOOK addons after the .esp, for example: ..(this just goes over my head, I dont understand this statment at all) ?? # CALIBR.esm# FOOK.esm...... (other mods)...# FOOK.esp# FOOK - Tougher Enemies.esp# FOOK - Reduced Armor Boni.esp.esp 6) Make sure to wait 4 days ingame so NPC's, vendors etc. can respawn ..(makes sense) 7) Have a nice FOOK. :) Also, the above statements about addons - how to word this, hmm.. So you need to install those mods in order for the addons to work (say - install fook, then install calibr, then enclave commander from 3erd party sources, then the fook 'addon' content will finish the job?), so how do you accomplish this? and how dose the mod manager fit into all of this if your just manually extracting things into the fallout folder and data folder? TGBlank
II'm really surprised there isnt some sort of master guide from start to finish type of install guide give tips and hints http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=972878 "1) Make sure you have installed the latest version of ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!" means search the nexus for archiveinvalidation invalidated, download it, and install it. And yes, you need to manually install. If it says "extract to your fallout folder" it means you extract the contents to the fallout folder. If it says "extract to your data folder" or "extract to your fallout/data folder" you open your fallout folder, open your data folder, and extract the files there. The fallout mod manager (FOMM) lets you sort in which order are the mods going to load. Meaning, if one mod makes cows blue, and one makes them yellow, the mod that loads latest is the one that's going to have its effect applied. Load order defines how such conflicts are handled. In the world of leveled lists and re-meshes, it can get far more arcane than blue vs yellow.(meaning, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DAMN LOAD ORDER). Modules go bellow fook.esp, some are self-contained and dont need additional things, others do not (like fook - the pitt.esp). Others are compatibility modules (like MMM - Fook.esp). I'm not sure if the enclave commander plugin is fully functional. Id use the normal enclave commander if i where you.
